  1. http://www.mod-sales.com/direct/vehicle/,33,/42738/Steyr_Puch.htm Wonder what the wife would say if I turned up with this!
  2. Careful not to fork out for CS tickets because they may be taught as part of the course then you would have spent a lot of money for nowt. Speak to the college and ask them first.
  3. This is the kind of stuff the Foden used to get up to.
  4. The Fodens have just gone out of service. 25 tonne main winch. 50 tonne anchorage with rear stiff legs. They are selling them on Withams for £19,500. Foden, 6x6 Recovery Vehicle, #28632 - MOD Sales, Military Vehicles & Used Ex MOD Land Rovers for Sale
  5. http://www.unicat.net/en/info/MXXL24AH.html I'm gonna sell the house!
  6. So when Im out running and theres a person and a dog coming towards me, I stop because im not too keen on dogs of any breed or size. "Excuse me, please take hold of your dog until I'm passed" (very polite I think) "Oh he's harmless. Never bit anyone." "THATS NOT WHAT I ASKED YOU TO DO!!" I told one guy that if he didnt get hold of his snarling yappy dog Id pick him and his dog up and throw them in the river. Ive nothing against normal dog owners....
  7. Claire Squires is fundraising for Samaritans Have you all seen this. The girl tragically died during her marathon effort but her Just Giving page for the Samaritans has gone viral and donations have shot through the roof. Its sometimes difficult to see the world in a good light with all the bad news we are bombarded by. This is a glimmer of hope. There are still good people out there. Thoughts to her family and friends.
  8. Apache pilot? Hmmm....you win!
  9. I love your orange trucks. Orange is my favourite ever! I bought a motorbike off eBay by typing in "orange motorbike".
  10. This is what I'll be playing with this summer.
  11. What's grey, made out of concrete, and howls at the moon? A wolf. I just threw in the concrete to make it hard!
  12. Dr Schroeter prescribes Jamesons. It drowns man flu. It says on the bottle.
  13. So if you just cut it in half then you get there quicker? I think I understand. Unless your tyres are flatter than a police officer.
  14. It's not the fact that they are China, it would be the same if it were the "good guys" like France or USA or....somewhere else. It would be a bit different if it was a British company planting the forests and reaping the rewards. I know it's only money we are talking about, and not actually us buying the trees, but still....
  15. No no no, it's like MY MATE, lending the queen some money for a new carpet, and me saying Id pay for some if she didn't stump up.
  16. Did you hear about the magic tractor? It turned into a field.
  17. But why do we have to lend them money? Haven't they got any of their own? It's like me lending some to the queen for a new carpet. Or something......
  18. Maybe I'm missing something and just don't understand, but shouldn't China be paying for it's own bloody forests? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/9194773/British-taxpayers-pay-for-trees-in-China.html
  19. When I worked Recovery one of the guys went out to pull a 4x4 out of a field. When he got there it was a woman who'd just driven into the field to turn round and was spinning a bit. My mate asked he why she hadnt put it in 4 wheel drive. "My husband told me not to mess with anything" £105 bill!
  20. Wifes name is Polly which I think is pretty good. Thomas, the eldest, wanted to call his new brother Sprocket Spacechew. Fairly reasonable, although I'd already decided on Ivan Drago. We were both overruled and he's called Harry Franz. Franz after my great grandad. Both boys wanted to call their new sister Shelf Head Radio. Luckily for her we didnt listen to them and shes called Amy Katrina.
  21. So what's stopping you! Make snow castles instead.
  22. Where is this Suffolk place youre all talking about? Must be south of Scotch Corner! Id have to get a visa.
  23. I take my hat off to the guy hedgelaying along the A68 today in the horizontal snow. Had a nice drive to Grangemouth and back over Carter Bar. Drifts across the roads made things more interesting. 22 degrees last week and -2 today with 4 inch of snow. Whos had the worst of it? Whats it like in the tropical south?
