  1. My older huskies have always done it. Not enough of a problem for me to start stripping them down to fix. Just don't put them down on slabs or block paving.
  2. Most of my rigging kit goes into one of these 60l blue barrels: 60 L Plastic Blue UN Approved Open Top Drum OIPPS.CO.UK That fits 60m of 14mm rope, 3 or so various pulley and sling variations and the 2001 fixed bollard and back up sling. Bloody heavy though, I'm keeping an eye out for a little sack trolley to strap it to.
  3. You don't know what you're talking about. You're whole argument comes from "it didn't feel right in my tummy". I've been climbing for over a decade. Pete has more than double that time under his belt. You might do well to listen to people rather than try and convince everyone that we're wrong with your few weeks experience.
  4. Don't bother Pete, he's just scared of his climbing kit and making up rubbish to justify it.
  5. I've always thought I'd enjoy prison for the same reasons but after a while I'd have to calm down and leave the other inmates alone
  6. I used a dugga dugga to rattle them out. They did put up a fight though and I sheared a torx bit in the process.
  7. Mine seems fine... 😆 @ the OP: I recommend the narrow kerf .325 setup when you come to replace your bar. Much quicker cutting compared to standard
  8. From working with people who've got one it's put me right off. It's a loud saw already but those boxes make them irritatingly loud. Not like the saw is lacking in power anyway.
  9. Gives you an extra 17 horsepower
  10. Fuck off Bolam, they look cool
  11. Cheers mate, I'd be interested
  12. How easy are these to get hold of mate? Fair enough, where did you get yours? I don't like the idea of the bark box tbf. A mate has one and it's turned an already loud saw even louder!
  13. He doesn't post the ones that go wrong 🤣
  14. I'm not watching that video again, can't stand the bloke. Why don't you email ISC and ask them rather than ranting on here after a YouTube video has you all impassioned.
  15. You're spamming now mate. I directly asked him in the comments if the snap was closed when he began spiking. Didn't answer. I can't see how a snap like that would go from closed to open while spiking, more likely it didn't lock closed from the ground and he didn't check. That video is pure clickinbait
  16. Haven't tried laithwaites, might do at some point. Only had half a dozen NW bottles so far but each one has been exceptional for the price
  17. That's one of our favourites! Punches well above is price tag. Les Dauphins Cote du Rhone is another fantastic one for £7-8. Very smooth
  18. I go between a smooth cotes du rhone or a punchy rioja myself. Have you looked into Naked Wines @Mark Bolam? You get a serious amount for your money and you directly fund indy winemakers. Pay in any amount from £20 monthly and cash in with a lovely crate or two whenever you feel like. I've just spent £260 on my Christmas order 😂
  19. Cheers Mick, it wasn't awful to be fair, lots of passes down the crown and back up again and a lot of detritus collected in my clothing along the way though. It was quite nice to stick with a silky all the way through, haven't done that in years. I can just about enjoy a job like that as long as there's no more than 4 hours climbing involved.
  20. 2m cedar reduction from this morning. No before photos as per. Just gotta get the needles out my pants now
  21. Naughty beech in Wicksteed Park from yesterday. Plasterer noticed the split on Friday and we removed it the next day. I was kinda hoping it would've come down over night with the storms and saved me a lot of trouble.
  22. There's a really easy way to avoid it... I'm surprised you don't know about it.
  23. Not for climbers. Demand way outstrips supply at the moment. Ask any company owner how easy it is to find a decent climber or even subby.
