  1. Hi, just in answer to your question we've outlined below the different insurances & what they are for: Public Liability offers cover for injury to third parties or damage to third party property (People outside the organisation), Employers’ Liability covers for injury or damage to employees (People inside the organisation). A client could only claim against the Public Liability. An employee could claim against the Employers’ Liability. Legally you are not required to have PL insurance but is recommended. You are legally required to have EL cover if you have any employees or if you have any subcontractors working under your instruction or supervision. Lastly, like other insurances, it is advisable to shop around & get a few quotes from different insurers to make sure you are getting the best cover & price. If you want more information on the different insurances or a quote then please just give us a call on 0113 259 3560 or pm me your number & we'll call to suit you. Hope that helps Jessica Arborisk
  2. Hi Kevin, Just noticed your post and we've got a bit of information regarding the mould exclusions on your Trust Policy: In 2002, professional indemnity insurers in the UK started to exclude cover for ‘toxic mould’. This was because a number of large legal actions had been brought in the USA alleging mould-related illness and UK insurers were concerned at the time that mould could become the next ‘Asbestos’. The insurers reaction was to add exclusions to UK policies relating to ‘Mould’ – as defined in the policy wording. Today there is less of a concern about mould claims and a few insurers are now providing cover, often subject to completion of a satisfactory questionnaire. Some PI policies still have a full exclusion for mould claims. Arborisk PI cover does not have these exclusions. Hope this helps - if you would like further information about this just give us a call. Arborisk Team Tel: 0113 259 3560 Email: [email protected] Web: - Arborisk.co.uk

Most of the things we have suggested are ideal for you to do on days when the phone goes quiet. Click here for the marketing guide - it's a pdf so you can print it off if needed. 13. Hi Chris, If you want to target properties that are being sold/bought, why don’t you approach your local estate agents? Many businesses are happy to affiliate themselves with another that compliments what they do. If you pitch it right you may get any tree / garden work that may come along in the rented properties they manage aswell. There are a number of advertising opportunities that might work for your business, local radio isn’t a bad idea, but this would work best if it’s part of other advertising you do as otherwise a random mention on the radio won’t mean much to people on its own. I’ve had a think as to what might work and listed a few ideas below: • Business listings – i.e. Yell.com, Thompson Local. Paid advertising on these is most effective, but the free listings are also good as not only can people find you on there, the website link is also good for your website SEO (Google Rankings) • Local classified - if there is a free local publication then this is a great way to advertise your business as you’re hitting your target market directly • Leaflets – I would look at putting your business leaflets in places like garden centres, DIY stores, agricultural stores, equestrian stores, etc - target your stores aimed at the kind of people who may have need of your services If this is at all useful for you, I'd be happy to put together a more detailed marketing document with further ideas and post it on the forum. Good Luck with your marketing! Jessica
  14. Hi, If you want to get an idea as to what you're insurance would cost if you decide to go self employed, we'd be happy to give you a quote! Bartlett Group - Arborist Insurance Tree surgeon Insurance Arborisk.co.uk - or if you want us to give you a call just let me know your number.
  15. Dean we would be delighted to give you a quote for your renewal next year. We no longer trade as Arbinsure, we are now Arborisk.co.uk, its the same team but with a great new insurance offering. Our cover is quality and tailored, but we still quote very competitively. There is nothing worse than having that feeling your cover is not as good as you need it to be!
  16. Just a note to clarify which countries we can do cover for: England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland only at this stage. If this changes I will keep you posted.
  17. Across the country, thousands of vehicle owners are finding themselves victims of catalytic converter theft. With the price of precious metals skyrocketing, thieves are stealing catalytic converters that contain enough platinum, palladium or rhodium to make it worth the risk to cut it from the underbelly of your vehicle. High clearance vehicles, like 4x4's and trucks are a specific target as its is easier for thieves to access the converter. We have put together a guide on some preventative measures to help you avoid being a target. http://www.bartlettgroup.com/download/send/113/arborisk-catalytic-converter-theft-prevention Hope you find this useful
  18. Hi there If you haven't already got cover I just thought I'd pass on some advice from our team: Have you explored transferring the No Claims Discount from the van to the tipper? It might work out cheaper that way. Other things to look at: • Restricted cover to named drivers • Annual mileage. Some insurers offer discounts if the annual mileage is low. With the above in mind it might be an idea to re-quote on-line as it may well be cheapest that way. We'd be happy to offer you further advice if necessary Hope that helps!
  19. Hi, as an alternative have you tried us for a quote? http://www.arborisk.co.uk or if you would like us to give you a call send me your number!
  20. Hi Carl We can offer you some advice, but we would need some further details from you to make sure we are clear about what you need. If you would like us to give you a call about this then please send me your number Thanks Jessica
  21. Hi, I've just noticed your post and if you haven't already received an answer this is what we at Arborisk.co.uk would suggest: Under work experience you will have to check on your agreement with the school or college - usage of any equipment must then be under your guidance or control. Employers Liability insurance would have to be discussed with your current insurer but under Arborisk we would provide the cover and offer risk management advice on use of such equipment. Hope that helps. If you want to discuss this further we'd be happy to talk it through with you.
  22. Hi, I'm really sorry you didn't receive our notification email that explained everything. Don't worry though your current insurance cover won't be affected at all. We'll give you a call shortly to check we have your correct email address and also to go through the Arborisk offering with you in detail. Thanks Jessica
  23. Mark, don't worry your insurance cover still remains the same. You should already have heard from us explaining our new offering - if not let me know and i'll send an email to you with all the details. Jessica
