  2. Thanks everyone I understand where your coming from but I work for a utility contractor at the moment and want to get into proper tree work more shaping etc as I enjoy doing it. They have no rules against us working outside of contract hours and plenty of the others do it I work up gloucestershire and live down by stone henge so it wouldn't affect that either. I'm good mates with two tree surgeons down here offering me work if I go self employed so I'm just after other info to get it all to work thank you
  3. hi everyone! i currently have a full time job but am really wanting to set up on my on so im looking into getting a van get bits of equipment that i dont already have and start getting out there. ive been offered work on weekends by a mate who runs a local firm but only if i go self employed so that fits into this aswell. im looking at getting my own insurance and go self employed see how much work i can get etc and see how things go before dumping a safe job any info on good insurance etc would be great i know theres a loads of you clued up in this so any help would be much appreciated many thanks
  4. hey all, basically looking to improve my knowledge and take the step of the RFS course nearest college to me is sparsholt but doesnt look like they do the course anymore i need to do this part time or evening if possible as still got to work anyone know where i can do this im near stonehenge wiltshire thanks
