Great idea for a thread would save on so many threads and so many people pro or beginner would really benefit from this cant wait to post on this one and hear others opinions

I felt so nervous when i started learning to climb but its the fear that keeps us doing it i got told by an amazing climber when i started get as high as u can then stop and just look at the view dont look down just take in the amazing view from where u are

That is true actually velocity isnt great while wet wouldnt mind trying tachyon actually

I did use my sj with 13mm marlow and it was okie for a little while but then i bought samson velocity 11mm and tbh i wouldnt go back even if i had to it just dosent respond very well for self tailing through the device u might aswell be using hc but it does help getting used to the sj on 13mm so maybe not overall a bad idea to start with also using a foot acender makes accents from the ground nice and easy to get started hope this was helpfull and not to much of a rant where are u from if u dont mind me asking coz i say this u could try both my different ropes with my sj to onow the difference if ur close enough

Hey sj with dyneema and samson velocity 11mm u wont regret it at gor fast accents try a foot ascender with the system i use all this and home made rope guide which is just a cambium saver with a pulley attached with a crab hope this wasnt too much info

Have seriously been thinking bout entering in 2013 only at the ones at the shows to get a feel of it the weather has been pants recently but if u boys wana meet up on a weekend at my farm for a climb i live near great leighs near chelmsford get in touch

i use the sj all the time and as far as using your left hand with it not really a problem but definatly if u have the spare cash buy one lots of fun jumping out the tree like SWAT aha

And watch alot of videos should help before u go out for a climb but be warned some could give u a wrong sense of security

Where u from mate and nobody starts good sometimes it takes either yourself or someone to push that bit far then your used to just get a nice high ancor excuse the spelling. just keep climbing and network with people on arbtalk look out for rec climbs to try different kit just wondering wot equipment do u use harness ropes and gadgets and gizmos

I was round my friends quoting a reduction job and my friends mother told me of an old technique used to try help infected trees they said they had a bbq ounce just under there tree which was highly infected with white fungi and they didnt mean to do it but the tree got back to health anybody else heard of this

if you have no intention of switching to SRT buddy definatly go with spiderjack i climb spiderjack all the time from access and moving in the crown works best for me just make sure u buy a foot pantin will really help with your accent plus u feel like a SWAT member when decending fast out the tree have fun man best of luck to you

When your arran turner and fall asleep in the bath dreaming about starting your 200t or even when your in labour waiting for your kid to be born and watching youtube tree videos coz thats just what every woman wants to see in labour
