  1. Defo keep at the job uve got for now. I went from the military to m&s (which i really didnt like) aswell as college and had a newborn all within two weeks. I worked extra shifts at work and my own little hedge jobs etc. it was hard but i kept with it for just over 18months before i secured a full time position as a climber. Now I've also thought of going down the same route as you but to set up by myself. Though its tempting, I've still got a monthly wage coming in to provide for my family and can still do other jobs when I'm free to save and build up my kit and for a vehicle. It will take longer but i wouldn't risk my family for anything. Keep going, save hard and your'll get there soon enough. Make a goal, like this time next year you'd have saved for the course👍 All the best Dan
  2. Then try the forst st6 lads, on our trail day we put a lot of weird angle cherry through and it just ate it up and asked for more.
  3. Fuel filter? Its the lil plastic clear tube connected either end with black pipes. Are tracked chipper wouldn't start, checked it and was full of cr@p so swapped it out and runs fine now
  4. Ah so the 8x6 wouldn't be good enough, jenson turn tables are also good
  5. 💪 Also get in touch with redwood for a demo on the Först st6 bud 01794 329080 As i said before i cant fault them or the guys yet
  6. Ive never had any major upsets with any of the stihls i own or have used. Plus im a massive stihl fan. The 880 has some great power behind it and given the right bar etc will sing all day. A friend got rid of this to buy the husky version and wished he'd never had. Ill txt him for reason bud if you want, but im sure you'll fine an answer here👍 Also isn't your other saws stihl? And who's your closest dealer of spares?
  7. Redwood Forst st6 silky. Had ours a couple of months and couldn't be happier, great customer service and 3 year warrenty👍
  8. Lol frjones etc do it by the meter for a couple of £
  9. U could try 90cm bud, when i was shown this knot by the DMM guys at the frjones show he said to have at least 4 wraps in it. Ive done so and it works for me if im not using the spider jack. Guess you could put more wraps in if u wanted
  10. Then if its to close to you look at using the o ring. Search for it as where was a thread a couple of days ago with it in
  11. Lol ah yeah, defo make it more compact bud, and urll get more from it👍
  12. Have you tried the knut? Thats another good reliable hc set up If you haven't got the arbtalk knot guide do get it 👍
  13. Also would the no stress be linked backed to a fuse!! I know on the new forst st6 they changed the fuse because of this
  14. Does it have a tipper fitted on back?
  15. Word of mouth works a treat for me plus having some friends who are landscapers, you could try magnetic signs for your 4x4 etc as its cheaper than getting it sign written. Once your running for a while think about getting a veh wrap or written
  16. Have you also looked at these? http://www.chainsawbars.co.uk/products/catlisting/category/wedges/ The tripe tapered wedge is great👍 i got mine from rob at the frjones show, and some of the smaller wedges and there great also take a lot more abuse than other plastic wedges Dan
  17. Lol thats it couldnt remember what it was called👍
  18. Or you could place the spliced eye through one of ur rings and clip in. Then use one of these to aid you in moving the system closer or further away from you bud Also have a go on the knut knot👍 i found it so much better to use than the vt
  19. No problem barrie, it was a bit to big for the letter box, and even though i wrote a note asking it to be placed near by they just sent it back. No problems Thanks again
