  1. About 3 hrs here on the mainland.... Nope, joking. I believe there was an issue with printing or distribution with this being the first edition. It took even longer in the States I think...
  2. If it's an endless loop, where do you start measuring from??
  3. Can I offer one?? Item number: 150748167869 (ebay)
  4. I'm climbing on aeris and use a multisaver, it's tight. I srt up on a fixed line and then place my working Ddrt and then get on it. Comes down ok but i don't rate my success at placing it all with throw lines enough to go that way, shame as it could save a load of effort.
  5. This happened the other day: Having speedlined the top two thirds of a scotts pine accross the garden we resorted to a little old skool chogging for the stick. All done and when clearing the logs from the flower bed my groundy says 'Have you seen this hole?', thinking it was goning to be a deeper than average divot I looked over and saw a little triangle of blackness!! On closer inspection it turned out to be a hole smashed through the cast iron inspection cover of a long disused pit some 4m deep, and with a chamber wider than could be seen. The lid had been covered by 150mm of soil with an establised lattice of roots etc, the client was as suprised as us. Domestic garden of a house in a 20year old estate, occupiers have had the house from new. ....suspect the unexpected...??? OK, not so exciting but what in your time have you encountered/found on jobs??
  6. mmmm.... here's hoping it's a Cash on Collection. (couldn't abbreviate that)
  7. Sorry for having a suspicious mind and I maybe well out of order (sorry in advance if so). Check this out.... Item number: 190632167666 (ebay)
  8. Hey Geoff, if they're still about I'd be greatful?
  9. If you're closing the loop with a double fishermns you're able to tweek the length to your exact liking. Just tie the one fishermans, place the prussik and adjust the length as required. When you are happy, tie the second fishermans and loose the excess with a red hot stanly (or proper tool if your posh). For a slightly more gucci finish you can pre position a couple of bits of heatshrink to lock the little tails down onto the standing parts of the line?
  10. I fully agree Skyhuck, accurate and true although little consolation to some, tetanus jabs up to date?? That's always worth checking. Completely different discovery, a disused cesspit!! Having speedlined the top two thirds of a scotts pine accross the garden we resorted to a little old skool chogging for the stick. 11. Hi, I did alot of looking for a second hand chipper myself about a yoear ago. Being frugal I looked every where. what I found was the same photos of chippers being used for different chippers, all based in bonnie scotland. the ads were on ebay, gumtree and some other local small ads. they were predominantly pics of timberwolf machines.
  12. can i ride on your question too?? my 200t is getting on but i'm not sure about the 201T? I have heard mixed reports. any advice/opinions welcome. thanks
  13. same place as Rammer. sometimes hang out in my trusty and aged T22, for old times sake...
  14. I'd buy a slammer out of respect for the coolest promo vid ever. find use for it later!! army/tirfor ground anchors are good; with the plate and pins, there's some about with 8 holes although 6 seem more common. just look out for underground services,,,,,,,,,,, could go horribly wrong!
  15. yeah man, go with what you like. however, for me it's the Iveco. I have a 35c12 and its been great so far. plenty of room and enough power. 8k should get a good one too.
  16. Can i throw another into the mix?? the DMM Buddy, from their pro range. it's another back up device that does the same job.
  17. Put and ad in the local rag, garden centre etc. free logs to collectors. freebies?? they'll be gone by monday!
  18. I've tried the Makita's out at a demo and they're a bit lacking; clog real easy and needing a bit more oomph. Go with orange, an MS260 is a good saw. Even when you've accumilated a whole range of saws in time to come, the 260/261 will always have a place on site. don't know much about huskys as i'm a stihl man but mates love them too.
  19. Why don't you just split it and stack it, selling bags here and there?
  20. Yeah man, they're cool. Over-wintering in your stack, just having a doze. I have loads too and i just transfere them to a cardboard box in a shed where they can continue snoozing. come the warmth of spring and off they'll go buzzing around, eating bugs and dooing good.
  21. All good, you sound to work in a similar world to me. a portawrap III and DMM impact block would be my offering. covers the semi hardcore friction unit while being able to rest easy knowing your metalwork at the top will do its job too.
  22. you can get a look on-line, it fills a gap left by other mags it seems.
  23. There's a brand new mag just off the press called ArbClimber, it looks pretty good, with more grass roots stuff and less waffle.
