Chris and Paul's "Bang Tidy" thread.

Well what a morning! Bit of flying around to get the the station on time and thanks to the M3 made it with 3 mins to spare!!! On the train now and my new HTC ONE will not send texts or emails, it's going out the window if it doesn't start playing ball. It'll be like that scene off the young ones where Vivian is kicking his head down the track! You know the one -

Rite lads and lasses, there is a length of oak that we felled today near Morpeth in Northumberland which is FREE to anyone who could use it for anything (not firewood)! Connor was showing off his skills today as he knocked the top out his first decent sized tree, a dead larch of all things haha And a couple of pics of two very strange looking men... -

4 loads of logs gone out today and another £600's worth split Silky is not wanting to climb much now and splitting logs he does but I know he don't like it... ...What is Silky good for now?!?!?!?!?! Silky is the answer to my prays, he is my manager and motivates the lads and kicks arse! He is an excellent teacher and mentor, I can have a day off and I know everything will run smoothly with Mr. Fox in charge!! He doesn't need to climb, he rarely needs to split logs, what he does need to do though is..... .......Just be Silky Fox! Your a star mate and I appreciate everything you do even though I don't tell you every day. I'm really looking forward to the weekend in Somerset with Silky Fox, Mendiplogs and everyone else who I'd attending -

Collected a prunus to plant this morning from Trees Please, went to Monkseaton to fell a dead one and this was the replacement. Somebody took the post knocker off the friggin van, I'm blaming bear!!! Me and Silky trawled the streets of Monkseaton searching for a tool hire shop with no avail...! Customer then came out with a 4lb hammer which worked a treat. This afternoons job was a willow reduction for young Connor, he made an excellent job of it, really starting to make me and Silky work on the ground. Finished off in the dark and git a £100 tip off the customer which was shared out between us, we'll gave the lads a 20 spot each. Got home, bath, got ready only to find £340 in my jeans pocket do straight to the Metro Centre for a new jacket! Sweeeeeeeeeet...!! Happy Christmas me xx I really need a new key ring for the M3 as a retrieval ball just don't cut the mustard?!?!?!?!?! Oh and just a sneaky preview into why I don't have hair!!!! -

We started the day off with a rowan removal which had split in the high winds. Cut a long story short the police were called by I think a Turkish fellow over the road who had his car parked over the street from the Bang Tidy, we started to chip the branch wood and a sprinkling of dust landed on his car.... Police!!!??? Really!!!??? Haha, so I sent Silky out to deal with him, he pretty much demanded Silky to wash his car NOW!! And Silky's reply after a long conversation and telling him we'd swill his car off with water after the job was 'visor back down and back to work'! The police came over and basically could not believe he'd been called out for this!!!! The afternoons job went swimmingly -

Merc AMG - would have been a great choice as I LOVE the sound of them but I don't like merc styling. RS4 - Another awesome car along with the ANG & the M3, all in the same class. The reason I went for the M3 is because I had a 55 plate M3 CS and it was a great bit if kit. I think I just have a thing for BM's. I am over the moon with my choice and the V8 sounds lush! ....but all that said I always know the next car I am getting even when I pick this one up, drives me up the friggin wall!! New Range Rover Sport -

Did this wind blown ash on Thursday, farmers tree which smashed through a dry stone wall and blocked the road. Second tree is a mature beech which nearly took the side off my mates house!! He's a tree surgeon too! I met Pete at Kirkley Hall College and has been my best mate ever since, he worked for me for 5 years and is an awesome lad! Still thinking of a fail safe way of getting this on the ground...?? Opinions welcome... It has lifted one side of the root plate out of the ground and is hung up in a younger beech which is leaning now with its own root plate lifted, also its hung up in a larger beech and phone line pole. I'm thinking of roping I to a mature sycamore next to it and accessing the fallen beech up the main stem, will then secure it to the standing beech, then nibble away at branches until all I have is a stem which can be lowered to the deck... Wish us luck!!! .
