  1. I've worked long and hard for those, only to recently find that the French company who supplied them cut some corners and they may blow up.
  2. But do they not still have leather on them?
  3. Mr Stihl will not supply them to the UK, that does not mean you can't get them. I sent another member on here a 192T from the Netherlands which came to £290 including vat and postage, but no bar+chain.
  4. That'll have a fair few "wood miles" on it! To me buying wood in from another county is a sin, let alone another country, or even continent!
  5. +1:thumbup1:
  6. You could get a brand new MS192T for under £300 including vat...
  7. They're a bit invisible so probably worth a fortune or very little:biggrin:
  8. I was driving up the A1M some time ago in a slightly dodgy lorry whilst slightly overloaded and doing slightly too much speed when I caught sight of a motorbike in my mirror. It passed me really slow, White BMW, some blue and red reflective stickers on it, The rider was wearing a hi-vis coat, you know the ones, There was a stalk-like bit at the back of the bike, I was quivering at this stage and avoiding eye-contact at all cost when he sped up a little and merged in front of me. He had a white reflective bit on his back with the words: "It's all Bollocks"
  9. I had a working cow once, she pulled a cart, plow or whatever was needed, had kids ride on her back for fun. She'd come into the kitchen for a cuddle and some food if you'd let her! I loved her dearly and we worked together a lot, but when it was the end we ate her and made it so she was useful to the very end. Her skin was slept on by the house-dog for many years after her death. It's (imo) the most fitting way to honour a working friend.
  10. To put you right on the ms200, is is rear handled, the top handle is ms200T. The same goes for the 192, there are both top and rear handled versions available. The 192 is a bit of an in-between kind of saw. It feels better than say a 180 or a 210 or similar but it's not a full pro saw either. Most people really rate theirs! People that have a rear-handled 200 rate theirs a lot higher still though, but very pricey!
  11. Shoot them and eat them! Too many of you British being unreasonably sentimental about horses. I love horses, both to work and play with, but when they cease to be useful they are food!
  12. I could send you a paperclip to hook behind your sticking "!" key? Ebay is the most obvious answer, and arbtrader Gumtree can be worth a look depending on where you are.
  13. My dog sleeps on his sheepskin, wherever I put it. It's normally on the lounge floor. He would never try and sleep anywhere else, if you try and get him on the sofa he freaks out. Mrs Rover's dog sleeps on an armchair or sofa, she used to sleep in the bed but I put an end to that when I moved in, she had a bad habit of trying to push you out at 3 am! (the dog, not Mrs Rover) She'll sneak in bed sometimes when I'm away, but never when the bed is empty.
  14. It's got to be off a strimmer surely? But it does not seem to be connected?
  15. Good work! I think the reason the horse looks a little odd is the fact that horses noses don't bulge like yours has. They're straight, then curve to the mouth, their nostrils defining the "point of curve" (a highly technical term). I'm not sure if there'll be enough material left if you take the "snub" of the nose for it to look ok, might become a bit too pointy.
  16. I'm well known to those who know me as a bit of a grumpy git, but I don't think I'm being grumpy or unfair now. Stop moaning, man up! I haven't seen the stump but I guess it did not double in size, really. So you went to do a job based on a 5 year stored memory? Sounds a bit daft to me, wake up, shake off the holiday hangover! The only person to blame for expecting a stump half the size it was was you surely? As far as your fourtrack, now that is pretty unfriendly but... Some scrote decided to knick it and failed! It's gonna cost you what? £15 quid for a replacement? That's not great but come on man, put things in perspective!
  17. Prunus Persica it is!
  18. It's all the one tree. I thought it was dead when suddenly part of it sprang back to life. The other half still seems dead.
  19. I took these today, in my own garden in Lincolnshire. I've been quite amazed by it, it was planted last winter and did nought untill part of it suddenly flushed into leaf in October!
  20. I had this as well, on the A1. After his sad story I offered to walk with him and put some fuel in his car so I can keep it in my books. He then started mumbling apologies etc so I told him I do not like being bullpooped! He apologised and said he just wanted some money to get pissed as his life was pants so I gave him £2 and left him to it. My mum who is very generous and philanthropic(?) always told beggars off. She's just look them straight in the face and go:"bollocks, you just want the money to get high/drunk/laid/whatever, just be honest!" and if they repented and were honest she'd take pity on them and get them a sandwich, or something nutritious and wholesome from her bag:lol: I've been in a situation where I was homeless, homeless and hungry, no friends or family I could call on. I got some help and to this day I'm very grateful for it.
  21. One of my mates in Cumbria had a similar experience. He parked his 90 in the church carpark after checking on some sheep, popped into the church, got married, then went back to the landy to check on some more stock before the big party-business to find the little back window pushed in. The perpetrator had not counted on the dogs though, his very cute and very little collie took one of his/her fingers, the back door was covered in blood. The police were involved and all the hospitals warned but nobody reported with any missing bits. Hopefully he/she learned from it!
  22. Quite impressive! If you're unsuccessful in your hunt for the elusive 192, let me know and I can get you sorted.
  23. There should be...
  24. The easy way to check would be to see if it still sounds different with the choke on/off like it should?
