  1. Driving back from a job the other day with a load of timber with tractor bus was following me so indicated when the road was wide enough and no oncoming traffic:thumbup: it went passed and then indicated and pulled in right infront of me to let a passenger off only just managed to stop intime.
  2. Quotes ? When quoting how are you quoting along side someone how wants the job because there short of work and want to get there name or work seen in a area or someone how has plenty of work and over pricing not to get it, how do you know?. I did some work 3 years ago now for a council have found out recently I was £2000 cheaper than the next quote and £ 4000 cheap then the dearest and I made a good profit on that job. So Quotes how knows.
  3. Just think about clearing up, could take days if you get loss a few times.
  4. Got the use of one when I need it. But tractor puts big dents in lawn.
  5. Exactly what will they cut all day long. As aways Can you take more off. And when you do it with loppers they turn round and say, My gardener could have done that thought you where just going to put a chain thingy though it.
  6. Did some laurels last week which need lowering and used brush cutter did a good job but not easy or safe.

  8. Getting a lot of jobs book in to cut hedges that have been left a couple of years and more, growth is to small to cut with chain saw with out having chain being flipped off and to thick for hedge cutter, so looking for a big cutter hedge cutter or anyone got any ideas:confused1:
  9. Customer I work for had all his Sthil stuff stolen a year ago and has replaced it and has had nothing but problem after problem and its less then a year old on domestic use.

Did some work for a customer last week when to the door when I had finished to tell them what the bill was as I do normally with that customer, they just asked for my bank account details and went through to another room and when they can back said all done and sure enough when I checked bank account when I was back I'm truck it was there. So what I am getting at is with modern tec why are we having to pay to get money off customer.
  12. Customer asked me today about removing Walnut tree with honey fungus, root has got to be removed they want the whole root everything with a digger. Questions are, Do I remove all soil and replace with new. Is there any treatment to soil need. And anyone's else's advice.
  13. Got a Epsom it had a problem printing, every thing came out Red and Black had to run head cleaning program 8 times to get it to print.

  17. Even driven gate post and post / rail come loss in clay, when back to a job I did a couple of years ago gate posts loose ramed a round them with tractor mounted thumper and a old stake tightened them out a treat.
