its not just travellers the police are reluctant to get involved with we caught a lad who broke into one of our sheds we phoned police up they said we are a bit busy at the moment shift change over . so we flagged a passing police car down the young lady carted him off no problem i told her our conversation she explained call handlers get a bit carried away at times .

hi i would consider just hiring one in say once a year . if you get all the cutting done and get it stacked correctly then bring the chipper in worth thinking about:thumbup:

i would be quite suprised if the local council allowed you to prune the tree s also you should consider your insurance cover you fully to work on council trees .

not being funny dean if your wife had her number available she would get calls so not a good comparison . top and bottom of this issue its a call about business the time might be inconvienient so set up correctly in the first place ie business line and opening hours and days

well maybe a mobile number for log orders and a seperate number for family and friends might be a solution or accept when dealing with the public these things are going to crop up and try to be a little bit more tolerant deep breath and dont be grumpy

just got myself a ford ranger single cab delivering logs bobing about looking at jobs ect seems ok up to now will take some pics later

depends what i am doing big tree s in the rain no fun lower stuff or ground based work is ok you do have to consider the mess you may make and the effect on you and the lads and the quality of your work . saying that i think you should always turn up on a job and try and do something that way client see s you are making every effort and this ensures generally you keep the job .

maybe a idea might be if you cant work due to weather you could record hours and catch up later when weather improves couple of hours here and there or a few half days on a sat maybe as long as every one agrees .
