Right had something that's really been bugging me and just wondered if one of you more experienced rope wrench lads could help me, I seem to be struggling with work climbs when I have a base tie, really gets to me sometimes I just feel so tight against the main stem its like something suffocating me, but as soon as I make my tie in point in the top I'm fine and feel free!!!! Surgestions welcome, advice on how to stop this would be greatly appreciated

  11. Think Simon thought you ment for a lanyard mate. You really going to use 10.5 for climbing line??? No issue with the size I'd climb on 8mm I just think my Yale kernmaster is really thin to grip can't imagine what platinum feels like
  12. Really nice job mate, just curious as to how long it took you as I really want to get into splicing
  13. You can't splice dynamic cord mate, but for 10mm lanyard I'd start with ocean poly, I never had mine spliced but it made a lovely lanyard:thumbup:

  15. A friend from the states sent me a load of pictures of a job they did back in 2009, he originally had them up on his Instagram thread but took them of because of to much flak about PPE, what some people don't realise is its a different world out there and there's hardly and health and safty, as mistabenn of here has said countless times and I agree! So just enjoy the photos he had kindly sent me so i could post on here, because I know that most of you old school climbers will appreciate them.... More on the way
