Alright gerb I just think the VT is a lot more smoother on descents. The Knut is a little aggressive on descents with regards to hitch cord wear -
They are good value I give em that as for the 200 quid, well I'm sure the pub or little en's will be happy over Xmas

Find someone to put a new zip on them mate. If the trousers are good then that's got to be the best solution in my opinion

It doesn't need a CE mark mate. But this is it, it does need one to become eligible to hit the shops for sale in the uk. And the reason I mentioned before is the reason they won't CE it. Not sure on the affects of insurances so can't comment there. But really shouldn't be used as there's no CE certificate, again I'm unsure as to the affects on say self employed climbers. On another note I'm also unsure if it conforms to EN standards also? I'm happy with it and being self employed and the only climber who's uses my HH I really can't see there being any issues regarding HSE and voiding other firms insurance policy's. It's another touch but don't look, taste but don't swallow story's if you ask me. -

This is exactly why they won't CE mark it, because your not directly connected to the hitch. -

It's stein TAC mate and yes it's very good, I once bought some for the rope wrench setup with 2 stitched eyes and hated it but on the HH setup it's very very good, pretty sporty but grips every time. -

I think the hinge runs across the top left to right side at an angle mate, what looks like a cut through hinge maybe as Pete has already said a good amount of holding wood removed from removing the buttress roots..

That's exactly how it was priced dave.. I wasn't being sensitive at all Stephen, I just feel that if the likes of you or benn or reg or anyone else then you'd of arse licked and oh your amazing!! Yeah that's a stunt fell if I've ever seen one!!!! Yes it was by no means difficult, but like I said it was slightly different!!

Mmmm! I wonder if this would of got a different response had someone else posted??? Maybe the video and a couple of photos of when it was standing then you could see why it was a little different... And can someone explain the rules of the stunt fell thread to me again?? Or am I missing something??

Something different today... Fair bit of side lean towards where I had taken the first photos, wedges and a Danish cut and got it to clear the T on the 7th hole of a golf corse. Was told to try And get minimal damage and nailed it I'll try and get the video up later

We needed the rope to stop the timber rolling into the iron fence below mate, could of made the gob bigger but this was the only piece we struggled with

Just got round to flipping this video as I filmed part of it upside down... Nothing spectacular so didn't want to waste making a whole new thread for it.. I did post some pictures of the dismantle when we did it but this video captures the true beauty of the characteristics summer beech has to offer. This section was 6ft long/tall and roughly 2ft in diameter, it was holding on a 4mm hinge right to the end. I had dropped my wedges in the previous cut so could only offer a little push to the groundy who was pulling on the tag line http://youtu.be/amKIbp4jZUM

It it was it is really, there's some very good rigging books out there. And I know of a new one that will be released next year sometime but it's more the science than the practical
