  1. not at all......scotys comment to me looked like he was saying you would get more experience from someone with a chipper than without! what has that got to do with me subbing my chipping work out? and who's to say he would only work with and get experience from me? also 30% of my XP could only be 10% of someone else's
  2. Fair does huck, but by no means do i struggle there are means and ways without owning a chipper, i contract climb 70% of the time so it would not be efficient for me to own one....(YET) the 30% of private work i get in i use someone who has a tipper/chipper and i pay him a set amount a day and get plenty done for me to earn my wages and make enough profit for my business to grow.....i treat anyone's equipment like it was my own.
  3. ???????????? The lockjack is ment to self tend, what are you sorting out??????????
  4. sorry to quote you on this but what exactly do you mean by it????? only asking as don't have a chipper.....!!!!!!!!! does that mean he would get better training from someone who has a chipper, than he would from me??????????????? FFS....................
  5. to be honest mate i can not see the test council removing the pole rescue from the 38 assessment, OR they really are going backwards? and don't get me started on the Cambium saver subject again. talk about bump and grind..........
  6. you can't fool me david the second from last is 100% photo shopped flying tree's?????? whats next people acting like monkeys climbing trees......FOR A LIVING? very random if you ask me mate.....like the link fencing one......
  7. Nice pics rich how much was the timber weighing in at mate?
  8. new addition to Hunstanton sea life centre took maisy for a day out on saturday........
  9. Thanks mate, just don't like the fact that there are a lot of beginners on here reading things like this and go out dismantling and lowering of big lumps like that and not thinking about all the factors first......it takes a lot of skill and time to pull of rigging like that, and would honestly say there are only a hand full of climbers and groundys on here that could........
  10. hope the fire was put to good use at dinner mate..... nice job:thumbup: don't mind jobs like that, that you can get your teeth stuck into....
  11. nice work Mate, looked a right beast of a steak that one........
  12. why would anyone want to be thinking of lowering that amount of weight? Think your wasting your money, putting yourself and others at risk! and for WHAT? just to get home 5 minutes early! One day some one will Go big........TOO Big and they won't make it home???? working within the SWL and making sure you know all your SWL and where the weakest link is, in your gear and the tree is imperative.........They are there for a reason...... Say you had all your gear down to a T. block, strop, rope, LD, blocking down timber lets say 1ton each section, so 4000kg on a 1 metre free fall, now think of what might happen if say......the line got snagged on the floor that the groundy did not see...i would not like to find out what happens after that! would you?...and i think people forget that us humans do make mistkes, its a lot to ask from your groundstaff to nail everytime...your not only putting your equipment to is limits. But to pull it of every time without something going wrong would take countless calculations, equipment checks rope checks more checks than it would take to just go that little bit more smaller get the job done safe and efficiently without destroying gear and still get home in time for coronation street...... Save the big weights for the Cranes lads..........If your that bothered about going home Early stick some extra money on the job so it pays to nip back in the morning......... Adam
  13. Everyone who has posted in this thread has had a moan about something, now i'm having a moan about people moaning, soon someone will read this reply and have a moan about what i'm moaning about, where all moaners and the world world be boring if we had nothing to moan at......so does it matter if i get 27 litres of dervs for £40 ????? i don't think so!!!!! why? because i price my work on how much its going to cost me and how much profit i'm willing to sacrifice just to win the job........., i want to work, and i know or would like to think all you lot do to, so lets moan about something thats worth moaning about!!!!!!! i can't believe they have put that crappy talent show back on the box again??????????
