Hi mate, yes its safe, and it is the only way it can be done when doing this splice to a piece of hardware. it has to be done like this when cable bracing so if you trust your bracing brummels on peoples property then you should trust it yourself? the whipping secures it when not loaded and splice wound never come undone when loaded . the bury at the end is like a normal splice it would take a hell of alot to pull that out before the loop was to be in danger of opening....

seriously mate, i have been climbing for 12 years 14 years in the trade, even my first climb i was never as scared as i had been on some occasions last year..........its crazy, had a nice chat with rupe and he suggested i get my self on a refresher coarse, was well worth it just for the reassurance mate, you know everything is gonna be fine but you can't help but feel like you aint going home, i know how your felling mate, either harden the F up mate or get your self on a refresher.....or another cs unit maybe could do it? good luck though mate, stay safe.....

had a few were a little poo might have escaped, but nothing major, did go through a bad patch a few months back when maisy was a few months old and i thought that every time i climbed i was going to die, but taking some advice from a friend and all was well after a refresher course.......... (will never forget that, thanks Rupe..) same as you though solid tree all good, huge cavity 40/50 ft up..... but i get over it and the job gets done....... good thread be interested in what some people say.......

i think your post's are pathetic.....in fact, i think Geoff is spot on, what do you expect to achieve with post's like that...........? who do you think will give you help with something you need, imagine you coming to do some work for me then while your off doing what you told to do i start selling your kit to some other local firm......? what would you say about that? second thoughts don't imagine because you working for me???????? would never happen.....
