I hear what your saying mate But if it was as good as a lanyard got then it would be cheaper so as you would not have to worry about using it in the wet!!! but on the other hand if i did have the spare cash then maybe just maybe i would buy one! it would not bother me using it in the rain though as i can't see why that would be detrimental to it in anyway?

apart from the whole system being CE marked and the added thimble there it really is no different to any other lanyard, the thimble or shall we say glorified ringloop is its only main attraction which of course can be added to any lanyard, the use of the pinto itself is great in a climbing system and adding one to a lanyard makes for a cool streamline (but not unique) addition to it but on the whole can be achieved with other pulleys such as the hitchclimber and the stein skywalker..... I always look at a lanyard as one of the most personalised pieces of gear we use, as there aint many climbers i've seen with the same setup.....maybe the same hardware but something is nearly always different this makes it unique for ME!

the ce landyard has no splices on it even! there stitched! you can make them cheaper than £70 to, depending on what cord and rope you use? the only difference to your own lanyard is the added prussic with the thimble! Imo another sexy from DMM/Teufelberger/Treemagineers but worth buying one???? i think not!

thats pretty much how the inside of my left and right leg is what with big b................... pretty cool picture, seen some worn out limbs but think this maybe the worst i've seen to date!

haha.....wonder how much that cost?? a mile though? 1609m...........that would last me my whole career???? and then some, you would have to sell it it could not sit on shelf life that long there for would not be custom as 31 other climbers you sell it to would have the same rope?

am i right in saying that they also do custom rope colours ? seen it somewhere recently about it but i may have been dreaming.....

sounds like a winning combo to me mate... ideal for cheeky little takedowns mate, what ever one of them may be? If you can afford a GRCS mate then i would not bother with the tree runner, but i can see your idea, would be a bit extreme on mrs jones 20ft birch......

seen a climber from the states before he had a kong one with kid rock all over it it looked sweet, not sure about spending loads but i've always wanted to get one done even if i never used it??? i've got a picture of him with it on somewhere but its an old kodak one so will have to get it scanned.....
