  1. My lucky garden mushrooms. Any idea what they are?
  2. Favourite version of the 39 Steps?
  3. I found some in the garden the other day, near the compost bin, on a matt of bark and sawdust I use to keep the grass down in front of the log sheds. Complete accident. No idea what kid of mushrooms they are. I assume the same kind as some shop ought ones that got composted. Thrilled.
  4. Congratulations. If you started a thread on here documenting it from day one, I’d be very interested to follow along.
  5. A load of chicken and mushrooms on the way up.
  6. No. Sharpen them and make ready. Everybody being screwed equally is not the solution.
  7. It’s also currently illegal to put the chancellor’s head on a pole but give it time and see how much that matters.
  8. I was ruminating about this earlier. I'm wondering if this coming crash is going to be the proper one or whether it'll be magically fixed with more money printing like every other time. I then came to thinking that if it is a bad one, why not get the revolution out of the way now. Think of all the ropes we tree folk have. I've probably got enough to hang the department of transport.

    Speed Wrecking

You don't happen to remember what the video was do you? I've watched a lot of his stuff and generally think he's good. I have a couple of times reckoned he's doing something arse about face but never excessively badly.
  10. Dolescumminess transcends class. The queen Subsidised landowners State, state emanation and state-dependent contractors Council executives MOT testers Kevin on jobseeker’s All the same.
  11. So you have a hierarchy of backscratching dolescum. Organisations like BASC and BDS (and noteworthily the NRA) have every opportunity to push for real change to promote their members’ interests but all they actually do is form working parties, consult, draft papers, hold meetings, propose, discuss, revise, report back, redraft, etc (months of fruitful work…). I’m sympathetic to those caught twixt principle and commercial reality but men shouldn’t lie down for this sort of thing and a lot of men lie down rather too easily.
  12. I’m glad I didn’t do my DSC1. For every one course put on by someone genuinely interested in stalking, there will be a thousand put on by third-tier dolescum looking to exploit the regulated nature of firearms ownership.
  13. Who’s they? Is it government owned?
  14. The rest of her acting portfolio probably isn’t mechanics.
  15. Stick that in the bike thread, J. I’m flirting with the idea of something along those lines.
  16. A rare bit of civils today on my mate’s driveway, chiselling up scrap metal and weeds and replacing it with 50 to fines dolomite.
  17. Emergingly derelict and I have it in mind that you’re in that part of the country.
  18. Aye, that too. As ever, I want backups to backups.
  19. A friend recently reminded me of the following, excellent phrase. “Lack of preparation on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.”
  20. I have a plan to one day have a box trailer with an electric screw type briquette maker in the back, drive it to joinery workshops, use their electricity and their dry sawdust to extrude briquettes straight into the trailer and then park it next to the burner at home.
  21. Not Aintree by any chance?
  22. Is it an old hospital?
  23. What’s your charity work?
  24. Used engine oil and brake fluid instead of wax.
  25. Forget Stihl then. Most of their saws have electronically controlled carbs and the 500 is fuel injected.
