  2. Forget I spoke.
  3. Forget legality. Was it OK or not?
  4. @Johnsond Not that I want to get into a very very very long argument about it, have you ever thought about the following: When you were a fighting age male and you went to a different country with a load of other fighting age males, was that OK? What made it OK? What makes some other fighting age males coming to your country not OK? For your introspection only if you like. No need to reply if you don't desperately want to. Steve was a wealthy man before he paid for hosting this thread.

    Weight

Says the man who would take a bullet for the wordle thread. But yes.
  6. Want to close a gap with a holly tree. Lay a few stems, leave a few stems sort of thing. Any time of year particularly good/bad?
  7. Do I get a clever dick answer from you as well if I ask what the test is for?
  8. What's the test for?
  9. That's it. Lovely stuff. They tried ruining it with the last special but the proper series of it will always be lovely. Lovely.
  10. I just looked on youtube for the disappearing mosaic scene from Detectorists. Couldn't find it but what a programme. Soul nourishing stuff.

  12. Like when you meet someone, get on well and foresee a fruitful friendship but then they invite you to see Elvis play at an open mic night on Wednesday.
  13. The most dangerous thing is he seems rational and is right about things some of the time.
  14. The last time I did the numbers (2022), there were 212 people to every copper in the UK. 330g a person based on 70kg coppers.
  15. I've thought this for a while but have never felt the need to point it out so plainly. I think you might be the stupidest member of this forum. No offence.
  16. Incorporate and pay yourself very little.
  17. He can be outraged they've used his money to erect a sign.
  18. Ash dieback diagnosis is a lot of knee-jerking. We've only been seriously watching it for the last five years. We've had a bit of weird weather in that time. Could easily have been something to do with that. Or not. Can't say for sure. Appraise after a hundred years maybe.
  19. It's usually not how it works because people usually obey. But it is the way it worked when eggs didn't pay. People have got so used to being stolen from (and otherwise abused) by the state. Some have got so used to it that they will defend the state's right to steal from them. The pen's yours btw. I'm a taxpayer and I say you can have it.
  20. It's not victimhood if it's true. Organisations like the RSPB get loads of tax loot. It can seem private because it's the RSPB with a bird on the logo, not the government with government stuff on the logo, but it's still land bought with taxes. Public money = Public property. Same reason I can unzip a traffic warden and wear him as a coat if I want to. I'm the public.

    Jokes???

Tickle my arse with a feather. Particularly nasty weather.
  22. Rightly. Looks excellent. Imagine doing that with a two stroke capstan.
  23. If you're going to make one, make one that carries 2 maybe. Keep it a simple frame/flatbed so if 2 is too heavy, the 1 can be strapped over the axle and the ends can be storage.
