  1. Looking at all makes budget between £6,000 - £10,000 max Open minded
  2. Yes they are good. Missed out on a tilt bed Jensen for £8,500 plus the dreaded which was a good deal
  3. Hi all, desperately on the hunt for a tracked chipper. Picking up so many jobs that require one. Any body looking to up grade theirs? Or know of any for sale. Been through all the usual sites but wondered if there is any private sellers out there

  5. Always think, it's not how you deal with work when it's going good, it's how you deal with it when it's going bad. That will come with experience
  6. Was there no way of getting the felling cut nearer to the ground to maximise the timber

  8. I also agree perfect specimen, you may find the lichen growing on one side more than the others, not getting as much sun

  13. I think what makes a good groundie is someone who can put himself in the position of what the climber is thinking. Ie making sure ropes are clear, organising brash, being able to send a pre warmed saw up I think is vital, amount of times I've had a cold ms660 brought up to me I've been livid. Also I think it's how a groundie is treated. My brother grounds for me and works his balls off. Don't know many people like him. Without them we would just be monkeys in a tree so what I'm trying to say is also make sure you work with people who can respect you not just boss you around.

  17. Sorry guys location is stroud gloucestershire. We usually crane with brash but we are very tight on space and the customers garden is cleaner than my front room so it's a slowly slowly catch a monkey job. Also means we can clean and sned as we rig down and keep access clear as it's run as a B and B so needs access the first few days
  18. Hi folks, we have a large wellingtonia being dismantled tomorrow. Starting with the branches then crane coming in Wednesday to dismantle the pole. I will try and up load some pics. Is there anybody out there that might be interested in the timber Approx 90foot tall. A very large stem Tree was struck by lighting sometime ago so not sure what the timber will be like inside. In the process of sorting new go pro out so should have some pics and videos to follow

  23. Been looking for a while now. On the hunt for a tracked 150 are there any dealers out there that will have a machine for about 7-8 k or anybody that is looking to up grade? Lot to ask I know from price, but hey don't ask you don't get
