I agree he Should not have to resort to these tactics but what sort of world are we living in if we daren't intervene Where do we draw the line .Would you intervene if it was something simple like this Would tyou intervene if it was a mugging a rape or murder I think I was supposed to live in a time long gone

Of Course he was right.Are we all going to sit around and let this happen He may end up in court but what a pathetic society we live in where we would all rather play safe and ignore all the bad things going on I know for one i am only a short ar!! but I couldnt let it go Perhaps I come from a past where nobody was allowed to get away with that sort of behaviour

Hi Mike I am pleased you get on well with the sauno kiln I just can't get on with mine How good is the door seal on yours,Logosol say that its the most important bit,and how did you seal yours Logosol are really good and have even offered me my money back but I would rather have the kiln working I think that mine is running out of water after just a couple of days and that means the wood is sitting in a fairly dry atmosphere at 70 degrees centigrade Any advice would be a real help cheer steve
  8. Hi Rob A lot of varnishes and lacquer can be affected by what you put on underneath the final coat Cellulose on top of acrylic etc but i bet you knew that anyway

    How are things going

    The craft fair scene at the minute is dire.Sitting around for hours to make £80 is not fun

    Have you ever tried using the pour on resin for table top etc,thinking of having a go

    Resin is not working well at the minute,its only has a shelf life of 3 months or so

    Can't get the stuff to go off properly.dries on top but is still wet where it touches the wood.4 goes on one clock and i'm getting pretty pee'd off

    Love the tables you are making.Yew is such a good wood

  12. Hi Heres my latest bowl measures 55cm x47 cms x10cms Ash with turqyoise inlay in fisures must work out how to get smaller pics
  13. I will be doing something with them in the next few weeks Awkward ro turn because some of the holes are deep
  14. Hi Heres more pics of the ash burr ? The first pic is with the bark on (18in dia ) The second pic Is with the bark off ( 14 ins dia ) Any Ideas The holes go into the wood for 2 ins or so

Hi I have the sauno kiln and I just can't get on with the thing Steam kilns are supposed to be best for burry or pippy woods well I just wasted half a ton of Elm,it shrank back more than you could imagine Only had it 6 months used it twice and scrapped lots of timber Any buyers Yes I am Jonathans customer

  17. Hi Again The pic is about 8" dia and was growing on a branch about 4" thick But its everywhere
