  1. A word of warning, be very wary if the stove is not still in situ or you cant pressure test the boiler. slim
  2. Is the cooker an Aga or Aga style and do you know how many Btu's are given out to the water? slim

Most modern stove have clean burn technology where a secondary air supply is preheated in ducts at the bottom of the stove and then introduced higher in the stove where it burns off volatile gasses producing more heat. There is ample non insulated area of stove metal to give out this extra heat before it can be lost up the chimney. slim

If you have oil CH/DHW and are considering wood for your DHW then fitting an aga will need some changes to the existing plumbing.you will either have to mix the water from the two sources with an equalizer or use swept or injection Tee's or keep them separate with a twin coil tank and motorized valves. I designed and plumbed my own system 35 years ago using a Stanley 90 cooker / boiler in the kitchen and a trianco 25kw oil boiler in an outhouse. with a twin coil tank. Each heat source work together or independently . slim
  6. Two wires on the same terminal or separate ones. I may have missed it but,what SGrinder is it and what engine,splash or pressure oil system? BTW, what are you working on to be using whitworth sizes a lot? slim

  13. My first contact was in the early Sixties when I carried a Danarm DD8FMK3 cutting sample poles,it beat the hell out of the cross cut and axe we had used previously but would not say it was the best decade for saws. slim

  18. I have one and they are very good but for branches at the upper end of their capacity I find a fishing butt plate handy to protect my aging stomach muscles as it does dig in a bit. The wolf one is also excellent, the one with the adjustable head angle is best and will also take a saw blade slim

  22. Being vat registered mean ones quotes are 20% more than non registered businesses which does not go down well with private customers and looses a lot of work !. The vat that has been paid by non VAT businesses is still passed on but no need to show it on the invoice. slim
  23. How green is the wood, if its not seasoned you may sell it but then not get return custom? slim
