  2. Hiya Cts I've read a few posts saying you really have to have the work for a Mog and be fairly mechanicly minded. I know Mercedes do the 6 series trucks which are around 5 ton also have you looked into tachos and inspections for a C1 licence?
  3. Hiya Welders the op was fine knocked me out done in a hour! I've had to wear this daft sling like a big cushion so not much sleep! Stitches out on Monday and sling off next week then physio!
  4. Yeah suppose thats the downside of not using a larger chipper but tbh id use anything over 3 inch for firewood as our stove at home does the heating too
  5. Cheers Mike got me thinking that now good set up uv got-didn't reall fancy selling the old girl for a transit!
  6. Now thats what i was on about Mike, how heavy is the Jo Beau roughly and what diameter would it chip? Do you just use ply to stop chip flying everwhere or the mesh sides that some of the Ifors have? That V8 sounds tasty!
  7. Would that be an Ifor Williams Trot?
  8. Iv also got mine upto what id call decent spec and most of the Hi Caps look pretty ropey-iv just had a quarter chassis from MIB fitted as well as +2inch Terrafirmas all round so im leaning more towards keeping her.
  9. Does anyone use one as their sole vehicle? I know most people use a Hi Cap on here for chipping into? Does anyone chip into a trailer?
  10. Jeez must be cheap where you are!! Cheapest round here is 8.5k for half an acre!
  11. Arm chaps? think their American.Probs look a bit poncey but if they save your arms?

  15. Sorry Stephen I don't follow ya? Not as soft? Springs do you mean?
  16. What licence do you have? I see some of those Ivecos are 5.2 and 6.5 gvw(correct me I'm probably wrong) I'd think those would be very handy?
  17. Never mind Ty no doubt you have learnt your lesson now? Me and the wife have been going to Normandy last few years love it-surely French mechanic will be cheaper than over here?!
  18. I'd be there in a shot Rob but still doped up on Tramadol at the mo! We took the kids in summer fantastic old oak about 3 down on the left-let me know what you find!
  19. Aye just seen this on Landyzone think one guy is offering £500 reward for info.
  20. I reckon LR have given up on the utility market not that they would admit it but the fact is they will aim for the school run mums with plenty of disposable income as opposed to your average farmer or Arborist who may never buy one from new. Sad but true I'd say.
  21. Looks may be deceiving..that things awful but sure LR will make it as they will aim for school run mums with it-my neighbour works for LR and reckons current Defender is unsustainable as their still assembled by hand and too time consuming.
  22. Cheers Stephen how's your hand now? I would have fainted with a wound like that! Nearly threw up on the wife on way back from Hos went all lightheaded!
  23. Cheers gents think the painkillers wearing off now-worst thing I can't drive the landy for at least a week! While I'm laid up reading Collins guide to British trees! Good book:thumbup1:
