  1. This has been discussed before: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/73047-building-arbo-trolley.html
  2. If doing so, be sure to measure an cut accurately or you could upset the balance of the blade, and result in vibration and damage to your mower.
  3. Commonly known in the trade as a 'Guy Fawkes manoeuvre' I believe.
  4. It does sound like a rough cut mower, SCAG or similar would be more suited. That said my 21" push mower (John Deere JS63) will tear through 18" grass and weeds with the mulch plug fitted (rather than side eject) without complaint.
  5. Probably good for all my brood apart from the dang Stihl. Silly little bar holes,
  6. Since this thread got derailed quicker than a Japanese commuter train.. Youtube has some good clips of Americans being interviewed by an Australian journalist about geography, world politics etc. Very funny.
  7. This any good to you pal? http://www.honda.co.jp/ownersmanual/pdf/power/trimmer/33VD86311_web.pdf?genpo=HondaFrance&model=UM536 C'est la vie!
  8. Steady on chap. The filters are pre-set so that the forum isn't littered with expletives. Nobody selectively moderated you or your comment. I think we all got what you meant just fine. As for calling to be banned and all that drama, you're either a bit pissed or you've had a bad day. Want to throw away six years of Arbtalk over this? Nah. Have another can, go to bed and it'll all be fine tomorrow. Well by lunchtime maybe, with some food, and alka seltzer. Night mate.
  9. Until tomorrow. If a jet crashes or a celebrity dies, or gets arrested. Or a factory explodes in a fireball. The media is no different to this forum, we crave new ideas and discussion each second. We're easily bored. End of.
  10. What will be the normal size of wood you're sawing HuskyDusky? I'm ripping through trunk sections of Oak that are 18-24" at the moment with my Stihl MS391 on a 16" bar, no sweat. Most of what I cut is smaller, and softer. If you're whizzing through 10-12" logs on a sawhorse then you'll find a 60+cc saw a bit of a lump. Bearing in mind you'll be doing this: Start saw, leave to warm up Pick up log, position in sawhorse. Back to saw, pick up, knock of chainbrake, start cutting.done. Engage chain brake, bend over and put saw on the ground. Pick up sawn logs from working area and pile up out of the way. Repeat. This becomes an enormous pain in the arse if your snipping through twigs with a monster. You'll end up with 9 saws so just buy one and move up/down from there.
  11. Gettin closer to you mate. Discovery up next...
  12. Or yours!
  13. Careful, the MODS will be along in a minute.. Don't want to ROCKER the boat. You're too BRIGHTON a lad for that!
  14. Lol. good on ya Johnboy
  15. Jim, what's the most you can spend, and how desperate are you to get your saw?
  16. Not by me.
  17. Is the fight over? Did I come too late?
  18. *Swills the glass, sniffs the wine...* Yes darling I'm getting grapefruit, cinnamon and hint of violence. I'd say it's a 1996 Eggsrascal.
  19. I think Pete's gone to bed now Maria, I sent him over the edge. If we all believed everything we read online, we'd fear buying anything because of the odd rogue 'scathing review'. I think you made a good choice, and you know you did. Ignore the snobbery that leads many to follow the herd. If you buy another saw, try a Dolmar/Makita, since they are another brand for the 'individualist' to enjoy whilst others mock and ask for help with their broken 'Cool saws' I'd better go, 18 Stone Pete might wake up and get angry with me
  20. Missed that one Plogs, looks fun this bailiffing. Out in the fresh air all day, meeting nice people with friendly dogs
  21. Nope, not at all It's just my way of getting some petty vengeance points after being rounded on by the Husky Varners when my Steeihl was not performing. Edited to add, it was the OIL, not the SAW that was being a biaartch.
  22. This is it.
  23. Just for you Jon love, I'm watch in git
  24. Better reception of BBC3?
  25. strange that. You don't have to do that on Stihl. Or Dolmar Or Echo Or Makita Or Solo.
