  1. Jim, what's the most you can spend, and how desperate are you to get your saw?
  2. Is the fight over? Did I come too late?
  3. *Swills the glass, sniffs the wine...* Yes darling I'm getting grapefruit, cinnamon and hint of violence. I'd say it's a 1996 Eggsrascal.
  4. I think Pete's gone to bed now Maria, I sent him over the edge. If we all believed everything we read online, we'd fear buying anything because of the odd rogue 'scathing review'. I think you made a good choice, and you know you did. Ignore the snobbery that leads many to follow the herd. If you buy another saw, try a Dolmar/Makita, since they are another brand for the 'individualist' to enjoy whilst others mock and ask for help with their broken 'Cool saws' I'd better go, 18 Stone Pete might wake up and get angry with me
  5. Missed that one Plogs, looks fun this bailiffing. Out in the fresh air all day, meeting nice people with friendly dogs
  6. Nope, not at all It's just my way of getting some petty vengeance points after being rounded on by the Husky Varners when my Steeihl was not performing. Edited to add, it was the OIL, not the SAW that was being a biaartch.
  7. Just for you Jon love, I'm watch in git
  8. strange that. You don't have to do that on Stihl. Or Dolmar Or Echo Or Makita Or Solo.
  9. Hear hear! Couldn't have put it better myself. Crazy that our allies of decades are treated with suspicion and treated like enemies, while self confessed haters of our country, system, morals and religious majority are welcomed with open arms. I'm sick of it. An (ex) American girlfriend of mine spent two hours being grilled by immigration officials at BHX while coming over for a stopover. A farce. I'd rather Americans were flooding over than Iraqis and Syrians who have no intention to integrate.
  10. A) Why does that not surprise me? B) Is that why one foot's shorter than the other?
  11. Since you've been so chilled out and polite to me, I thought I'd share this with you. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/87498-stihl-ms193t.html http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/stihl-ms193-garbage-201-something-similar.282007/ http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/84636-stihl-ms193.html Here you'll find reviews and options as requested. Goodnight mate.
  12. Not in my experience. The amount wasted is less than the constant 'chop off trim' the guard makes when you 'bump out' a new length of line on a normal head, plus the tendency for it to break unevenly making for more wastage. Plus, these heads are smaller and lighter so speeds seem higher than the bulky plastic UFO stuff you get as standard. So you work faster, paying for any perceived losses by a quicker work rate, and higher productivity. Me, I just like using them.
  13. Sorry I think I've derailed the thread. But yes MS150 is nice. But expensive compared to cheap toppers.
  14. Not showing off, but I handle a rear handled saw as if it were the Devils razor coated wang. I don't think I'd ever take my other hand off the saw to move wood away, whatever. If I'm super careful and mindful of this would it be feasable that I could control one? I'd want a 10" bar on it, so kickback shouldn't be such a biggy?
  15. My vote would be a Dolmar PS-35 or Makita equivalent. Speak to Shavey or Timber Cutter Dartmoor. P.s you won't need an 18" bar to cut 18" diameter, nor will you pull one with the above saw. How much will you cut on a regular basis?
  16. Sorry to hijack. Would a non-pro like me whose not chopped his head off yet with rear handled saws be instantly killed using one of these saws for light pruning?
  17. Correct! Just watch the 'wall of shame, thing they do on Crimewatch. All ethnics and eastern Europeans that they're hunting for rapes and sexual assaults.
  18. Me too. I notice these people all seem to be cutting about in the latest branded sportswear etc, so they're not the poor goat herding folk the media paints them to be. A lot of people have put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and taxes into making this country what it is. We (they) didn't do that so some Adidas adorned Syrian who fancies a life in a cosy flat watching DVDs can come over and get endless handouts of Diazepam for his 'ptsd'. Send em home, blow up IS, job done! Err perhaps not in that order.
  19. That's reassuring to know. I'm still modelling balaclavas for Millets.
  20. Hi Wyk, that's reasuring (especially the donut bit!) You seem to live in a land of plenty! Don't think I've seen that much wood in real life, it's like one of my dreams!! Picture three looks like a river flowing with logs lol.
  21. Good advice. Don't overload these type of heads as you'll lose all your speed and torque and it'll bog down easier. Be 'light and fast' like Stubby.
