  1. That looks a lot like a Bandit 7”(?) that I used to work with many years ago. Absolutely bomb proof. It had a zillion hours on the clock and the only maintenance it ever needed was to be towed past a grease gun!
  2. Amazingly I am still looking for a staff member, groundie/climber, doesn’t matter. I’m just amazed at the lack interest and lack of intelligence. One applicant wanted the job, so long as I picked him up and took him home to mummy because he lived one hour away! [emoji23][emoji23]
  3. But that colour! ? What’s wrong with black boots!!
  4. I’m still looking for this star person.....[emoji1360]
  5. What rope and length do people use with the Captain Hook? Thanks.
  6. Sena comms sets are Bluetooth 4.1 so I’m guessing that they won’t be compatible with these new Protos 4.2.
  7. Will it be compatible with other Bluetooth devices? i.e.: Sena
  8. Groundie vacancy-Surrey, W Sussex border. We carry out primarily domestic tree work. Our commercial client portfolio includes only the companies that I like to work for because the work is nice i.e: No high speed tree bashing. Most of our work is in the Reigate area and it's very rare to travel more than 30 minutes. Salary will be dictated by your abilities, not age or qualifications although relevant certification is required. You must have plenty of initiative, be adaptable and have the desire to do well and improve yourself. Please call me on 07834 414271 or [email protected] https://arbtalk.co.uk/applications/tapatalk/index.php?/topic/111172-Groundie-vacancy-Surrey%2C-W-Sussex-border%2E/page__view__findpost__p__1643332
  9. So I’m still looking for that elusive hero. See my OP for details. Thanks.
  10. Does that mean you’re looking for a job? I’d be keen to hear from you if so. I don’t mind if you’re a ‘newbie’, so long as you’re keen.....
  11. No he won’t. He’ll be putting Bob’s Blue Paint over all of it! [emoji23][emoji12]
  12. I don’t remember a time when there appeared to be so few people looking for work! I’ve spoken to lots of people who share the same opinion, so at least I know it’s not just me [emoji23].
  13. Where do you put the zip tie? I can’t see a way of fitting it but I have a different model to yours.
  14. That's the difference, when there is lots of background noise like roads, communication from tree to ground is easy and perfect.
  15. HAs anyone got the Send Tufftalk system? Can the helmet variant be fitted to a Protos helmet and can a visor be integrated? Probably not but thought I'd ask. https://www.sena.com/product/tufftalk/
  16. I'm now sick of the Sena wiring! 2nd set to fail this year and yes, we do look after them. Also I've had to glue one of the batteries onto the base plate as it no longer stays in the clip. I'm not slagging off the Sena product but now just want something more robust. I want something as good as the Peltor but for £3.99. All good suggestions appreciated.
  17. I'm still waiting for the best groundsman ever to get in touch.......... Thanks Al.
  18. Hi sdullee Are you still looking for a job? I'm based near Reigate, Surrey. I have a couple of ads on here but I'm looking for a brilliant member of staff to join our teams. Preferably full time but part is ok. Salary is negotiable depending upon your abilities. Thanks Al 07834 414271
  19. Nail on head mate. [emoji1360][emoji1360]
  20. It’s highly likely that you didn’t just make the guy a load richer because most of that money goes to pay overheads, it’s not all profit. It is also likely that the extra money only goes to pick up the shortfall caused by his regular staff messing things up or breaking kit the previous week. Of course I am generalising and not saying this is always the case (& certainly not the case with my current staff team) but I’ve employed and lot of people over a lot of years and have a well educated view of the whole story.
  21. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Can I have one for a 201 at the same time. [emoji12]
  22. I agree Steve but if a firm can’t charge the client enough to pay the better wages, it ain’t happening. There’s a limit to how much a client will pay because of: Public perception of tree surgeon/glorified gardener [emoji849]. There’s always a college leaver who’ll do it cheap. There’s always a new clueless start up who’ll do it cheap. There’s always a gypo who’ll do it cheap. Without a really tough regulating system to push out all of the aforementioned, it’s never going to change.
  23. Thanks. He’s also been recommended by someone else on here and I’ve spoken to the guy at Boulters. He’ll be getting my business. [emoji1360][emoji1360]
  24. It died two weeks ago and I mean from being 100% green to 100% dead over three days. Anyway, it’s coming down so if anyone wants it, it stands about 8m from the driveway but the lawn is solid. Access is good for any size vehicle. It’s in Reigate, Surrey. I put a 2 litre bottle at the base to show scale.
