  1. Mike Powers has been developing the answer for a while now buy using an adaptor. Here is the link: Powers spur scender | The BuzzBoard
  2. I get this badly when using long hedge cutters because I used them for years without gloves. I now use the Timberland full finger AV gloves. Expensive but worth every penny.
  3. He said it's his right hand at night time. I believe the cause is lying on his arm until it goes to sleep then it feels like someone else when he………………..
  4. No, it means I usually wet myself cos I get so scared. It's dangerous on a quadruple extension ladder with a chainsaw.
  5. Please explain why? Thanks Al.
  6. Thanks Eddy, great reply. I didn't know any of that stuff about calibrating the saw. My dealer obviously isn't doing what he should and I will tell him how he can improve. I'll do what you have suggested and see what happens. The warranty is valid on both saws until January and February so no Mods until then. Actually screw that, I'll send the t540 to Spudulike soon! I have been using HuskyXP 2 stroke oil. Is there a better option? I thought the warranty is void if incorrect oil is used!
  7. A brake band is a consumable but considering how often i put the brake on under load, it's very disappointing. I saw the data after it was reset the second time and the dealer explained a few things. How did I set the saw up? Well, I asked the dealer how to run it and he said just run it normal and hard. Don't let it idle. I never let my saws idle anyway because I know how fast the engine gets hot. So, none of it makes sense but both saws are a bit rubbish. The 560xp is a bitch to start 60% of the time. My t540xp is a hog to start 100% of the time and regularly stalls of its own volition. It's power is also poor. BTW, my fuel and oil quality and mixing is good.
  8. On my 560xp: Plugged it in to reset it three times. Three new spark plugs, just to be sure apparently. Cleaned the carb. It's also had a new AV spring. New starter recoil spring. New chain brake band. On my t540xp: Same as above and a new chain side cover. Wake up Husqvarna, your stuff is sh1t! Edit: and I stopped buying Stihl 3yrs ago cos of poor quality and terrible service regarding warranties!
  9. Only a wuss climbs with dry rope and trousers!
  10. Good and valid points Eddy. However, it's the saws not me. Annoyingly because I could fix my methods but it seems the saws can't be fixed.
  11. Excellent! 😄
  12. You're right, I know you're right but I fancy a smaller saw than the 560xp. The cs620sx sounds like a great saw but is the same as my 560xp. The cs450 is the right weight but 5cc less than a 550xp and I'd be reluctant to modify a new cs450 that has 2yr warranty.
  13. So I need someone to make the decision for me!
  14. So after a bit more time on websites and a bit if procrastinating the Echo cs550 seems like a poor choice to compliment my husky 560xp because the echo is heavier, much less power and will run a smaller bar. So it looks like I'll have to buy a Nestle 550xp and hope for the best.
  15. Do you really think that the two big name saws are made exclusively in Germany?!! Many of the parts are made in China and the rest is by Cadburys!
  16. It is tough but a few days ago the temperature exceeded 25 degrees so it went too soft.
  17. Out of the two, my strong recommendation would be the Echo 360tes. Equally as good as the other two but with out the risk of carburettor glitches (that are impossible for the dealer to fix, ever). Also Echo don't make some parts of their saws from food.
  18. Actually the Echo cs450 seems a better option as its 5kg but 45cc which is 5cc less than the Husky 550xp. However that's not a problem as I have a 560xp.
  19. The starter recoil spring snapped on mine today. It was a real surprise to find that this is made of toffee!
  20. Thanks Joe I got a 560xp 17 months ago and that had 'all the quirks ironed out'. Ran well for two months and has never been the same since. Even had a new engine two months ago and it's still crap! Same to be said of my t540xp. Neither start well when they're cold. Or warm. Or hot. WTF!!!
  21. I've just had another look and it seems to be the cs550. Does anyone have one and how do you rate it? Thanks.
  22. Any update on this saw?
  23. Does anyone have an Echo saw that's the equivalent to the Husqvarna 550xp? I can't figure out which Echo is the comparable model! There seems to three to choose from. I have a 560xp so want a slightly smaller as well. I'm not keen on any more Stihl or Husky because the carburettors are controlled remotely by a bad fairy that hates me. Also, too many part are manufactured with left over toffee. Thanks in advance Al.
