  1. I would not say "bollocks" to medication, as I will probably remain on a wee tablet for the rest of my life, the Doc, who it must be said cannot understand depression/mood swings, admitted that it was a "suck it and see" approach, trying me on a couple before finding one that was compatible with my particular chemistry, i.e stabilizing without zombiefying When I came off the meds one spring I went bloody hyper and bought yon 3PH Baker sawmill, which still sits as an expensive reminder to stay on the meds. good luck mth
  2. As a reasonably educated 58 year old Presbyterian raised citizen of the United Kingdom, (who lost no close kin during the Troubles, but loathes the pure hyprocisy of the SF/IRA party.) I believe I could stomach a United Ireland, IF, and only if SF/IRA admitted to their guilt and atrocities, and with after such a confession the likes of Gerry Adams (and the rest of the "Old Guard" ) retreating from public/political life. Simply because the ROI is no longer in thrall to the RC Church. BUT The British minded population, of a United Ireland, would need protection from the JackBoot policies of o so sweet innocent SF. N.B. Pre partition, about 30% prods in the South, due to blatent discriminatory RC Church driven policies this rapidly dwindled to about 3%. Oddly enough, the %age of RC's increased "up North", despite the Unionist control (50 years of misrule and all that!) during this same period. marcus P.S. I did NOT vote DUP
  3. Eggs, I can only sympathize, since a streak of manic depression runs in my breeding, I was very bad a few years ago despite a v good supportive wife, happy healthy children and no money worries. Sat in a chair and mostly stared blankly at a wall or out the window for about 6 months. The local, mostly farming community, were very understanding since "there is a lot of it about" The best I can offer is accept that it should go away, and sit it out, a few bright Spring days is all it will probably need to re-set your mojo. good luck marcus
  4. I had hoped for some moderate middle ground sanity to start to emerge, in line with Mike Nesbitt's comment that he would like to see UUP voters giving their 2nd/3rd/4th preference votes to the SDLP. And presumably vise-versa. Since, in conscience the DUP & SF can only be regarded as the 2 mainstream-extreme parties. Interesting times indeed.
  5. If the DUP cannot stomach the outcome of Thursdays election, or will the DUP swallow their pride and accept parity with SF? But with Birkenstock over here and May in charge at Westminister, perhaps not. Game on! mth
  6. OK:thumbup: & Thanks for this tip WP
  7. There is a spare set of DA at the rear, but with the cost of hydraulic hose, and the seperate control lever and the routing of a pair of hoses, I figger a 12V switch mounted to the top of the loader joystick and a 6 port was a neater solution. Be looking a set of forklift brackets tomorrow, and having seen the tidy "clip-on" type log-beak for a standard tractor loader forklift advertized on ebay. It looks a very sensible idea. cheers mth
  8. Is Minezis (i) 70litre/min oil flow (ii) 24 F/R (iii) mid mount PTO (iv) splined shaft left to connect a front PTO (v) sub 1800 Hrs and v clean and unabused. Underneath not really suitable for spraghling about up the moss(yet!). I just need to sort out a 12V/6 PORT valve for a 3rd service for a log beak or timber grab to the front, An, cough, cough, an a wee weight block for the back(cos quite a fast powerful loader)
  9. I was quoted £16,000.00k + VAT, to include the Kubota loader, by 2 different salespeople before Xmas, for the MK5000 Kubota. It was very very tempting.
  10. and I quote "St Pete's with a mate that had recently been released from bail, acquitted of murdering his wife" so he DID murder her, but was acquitted!!
  11. How many acres(of Class 1 Arable) you got then Wicky? PS Did I mention the waist length naturally blond hair?
  12. Jesus! , Ah didnay ken ye got yer MBE for shagging a staggeringly diverse selection o foreign birds Kevin. Are ye sure your not a 007 type somewhere under that carefully presented facade. Jealous is all. mth P.S. Did your mate murder his wife, like you carelessly state 007.
  13. Hi Stock, are ye now stocking/stalking me over here in return? aka MarcusTheHat
  14. I shall perhaps post some photographs of our magnificent outing to Innishowen last June for the GWagen Register annual meeting when the Van was v. nochantly and skilfully piloted off road by our blond attractive mountain biking and yet still unmarried 24 year old Physio daughter. Suitable suitors, after careful vetting, could well get the Van as a Dowry. I live in hope! mth
  15. they can contentiously support a team’s electronic needs for weeks at a time. ah tink dey meaned "continuously" they really outta employ a better proofreader! nice tool though, an near as nice as my 461 LWB gay wagen Van:001_tt2:
  16. I understood Alder to be the best for wet clay sites, and whilst not the visually most attractive, supposed to be very good for wildlife, I know the Alder I planted in a wet dour clay hole are properly thriving. good luck marcus
  17. Eddie, First serious commersitations re the wilful damage to your big Libherr, I can only imagine how stomach churning it is to deal with & accept, but as someone else mentioned, quite staggering that Liebherr state a 3 week turnaround. & Meh! Re that high-spec NH you posted, ah dinny tink yon "flotation" tyres be ony guid up the Garry Bog. So, sorry, but no thanks. A D6 or D7 on wide tracks would float my particular boat much better. Since I got a couple of reasonably extensive Duck Ponds to scoop out.
  18. Anyone any opinions on these stoves, or indeed, the importer/supplier, Ludlow Stoves? mth
  19. Thattle be the "forgive those who sin against us" bit then Eggs! well most likely:001_tt2:
  20. "Agent Orange", this I like Eggs, and the quip about the Library. Cant wait to see the garish colour(color) clash when Trump (i) Swills a Guinness for the Irish press. (ii) Wears the Trump tartan. I will keep the sunglasses handy just in case. cheers m
  21. Baasstaarrd! Some folk ave all the luck=hard earned experience. cheers mth
  22. The CoI rector in our village, retired aged about 80 having given his long and unmarried life to the Parish, proper old Gent that he was, with (like Father Brown on the TV) a very balanced view on the vagaries of humankind. Once confided in me that he reckoned his liftime of ecumenical work had most probably been in vain, given the Tree hugging proclivities of the Pagens in his congreation. 'e warny wrong either!
  23. Well shucks! An there I thought we were Stihl arguing about the merits, or otherwise of the Husquavarna brand. And anyway, indeed & obviously "in my opinion" But I would still argue that Dewey was absolutly correct, we should not NEED religion, to live a good and fufilling life. Or a Dave Allen put it "may your God(s) go with you". Me? I imagine I am coming round to a mostly Buddist way of thinking, in attempting to attempt to live in harmony with nature and other people. Live and let live, incl rodents & other potentially destructive wildlife, stop catching fish for "sport", & lovingly rearing birds to blast out of the Sky, etc. etc.
  24. "Dewey" courtsey of Malcolm in the Middle had the whole religion think well summed up, when he discussed, with his RE teacher, smiting Ants with a shovel, whilst at the very same time wondering; did the Ants imagine he was their God? Dewey concluded we should not need the threat of eternal dammnation, aka. religion to lead good lives. He was correct.
  25. Well that will be my multi-tasking feminine side coming out then. Anyway "snoozing" implies dozing or sleeping lightly & intermittently:001_rolleyes:
