  1. supawinch do a capstan petrol winch. cheaper than the honda. pulls the the same. use dyneema rope so alot easier than haulin a cable about and does not get kinked. cost 575+vat
  2. Try QTS up scotland. They work nationwide but often have work for lads with irata if thats what you have off the ropes

  5. you sell your equipment to the ltd side and take it back as a directors loan. Take a wage and try and kep it to 600 a month or you will pay employer NI which is 13.5%. Take a divy instead of a big wage..........

    looking for a pts groundsman for job in near Durham, north east tomorrow.. Anyone about?
  17. I work alot on the rails, mainly doing big leaf fall sites and DDDs {dead dying dangerous} trees. Its good work but hard work. As other people have said its weekend/nights when alot of work is done. Pay can vary from companys and sites but ranging from 100 a shift to 250 a shift for more tickets and experience. Pays better than domestic work from own experience but have to wait for money from time to time. Just make sure you check out the company your working for. Did the company your going to work for once trade under Scotish lumberjax? or Uni mog hire? worth finding out. Fountains not on the rails anymore as gave up there link up a few months ago. good luck.. Any work is welcome work:thumbup1:
  18. london plane, these take in the the fumes from cars . Thats why you find them alot in inner cities. The dust off these is real bad for you... any work is welcome work
  19. if you have a straight accountant then you will be paying full tax ! best get an accountant who knows all the loop holes, then you wont be paying full tax to support all of this countrys free loaders or the eton toffs! if you can make a bit fiddle then fair enough, if this upsets some people cos they think you are taking there work then that is the way of the world....
  20. weedkiller from garden centres works to an extent but to purchase using urea or an industrial strenghth application you should have your pesticides...

  22. Try C Ball Forestry, got a 24 inch chipper mounted on a valmet forwarder . He us on a job near hull at the min. Any work is welcome work:thumbup1:

    they are a big company which are american owned i think.Worked for them myself a bit out of there Dublin office. They are good for training but the money is just average. Mate of mine works out of york office and gets paid £7.90 an hour and he is an experienced climber , but probably a good company to start with if your new to the business.. Any work is welcome work:thumbup1:
  24. check out cballforestry.co .uk. Has a 18inch bandit mounted on rotne f9 and a 500hp 24inch dutch dragon mounted on a valmet. get into tight spaces. can also use forwarder to pull trees over or move them. fill one of jenki's wagons in 40 min.
  25. depending on access but have a word with chris ball from c ball forestry. he has a 24 inch chipper mounted on a 830 valmet forwarder. alot bigger and quicker than treeclear. case of cutting and walking away.. dunni what your gonna do with all that lovely chip!!!! not... any ork is welcome work:thumbup1:
