  1. You have to film that for us.
  2. from the thread about who's better "forest or arb" Arb climbers or R.A.T. ?
  3. Good on yer fella. Takes balls to move on, but like most things that take balls. You will look back on it and that voice in you head will scream "wahoooooooooooo, what a ride". Wish you well.
  4. Love these guys.
  5. The spaceship?
  6. I tend to work through the weekends as I'm usually working a long way from home. I always take the whole of the kids summer and x-mas holidays off work though. I think the kids probably get to spend more time with a dad who isn't knackered and grumpy than if I came home every weekend. I do love me camping though.I always camp in my Eureka hammock when I'm working away and always take the family for 3 weeks camping in France during the summer holidays.

    scam alert

    I had these call a few times. Led them on for as long as possible (just act real stupid) before finally revealing i've got a mac computer and they are thieving scum. Makes em really angry.
  8. Wouldn't work, most of them have gps, if they lose the signal from the remote, they just return to the point of launch or some other pre-programmed point.
  9. :rock::rock:
  10. OK, but I can only offer odds of 1:100. Possibly less.
  11. Strictly speaking I didn't break the letter of the rules, but probably the spirit.
  12. From the sounds of it .......b.
  13. Sorry David, I did completely understand why, just wanted it understood that I had referred to the OP using a term that required you to edit it. " Never hide behind yer mothers skirts" as me old mum used to say when I shouted abuse at a bunch of skinheads.
  14. Can't believe this got edited by the mods. I replaced most of the letters with dots. I've seen worse on here.
  15. Cheers fella.
  16. They knew anyway. One came round a few weeks ago, asking if I wanted to buy any chainsaws. I was unloading the Landy at the time, so he knows I have at least 3 saws. They live indoors now.
  17. :thumbup::thumbup:
  18. You sacked him because of the flack you got on here? And then put the blame on those who didn't agree with you? Jeez.......... .
  19. I can assure you it is.
  20. Recently a local guy (a known thief) got himself one of those parachute with an engine on the back thingies and can now be seen flying around the local villages, presumably it's a good way of scoping out the layout of peoples properties. Then last night I was outside getting some wood for the fire and heard a strange whirring noise. When I looked up I could just make out one of those 4 prop drones with a camera suspended underneath it (presumably IR). I followed it round the village for a bit and then it flew up the road to two guys with (surprise, surprise) a high top transit parked up on a beet pad. Told me (in charming irish accents) they had brought it for Christmas for one of their sons. I told them bollocks and that if I saw it again it would get a load of no 6. It really does seem to be getting very tough to keep your stuff safe.

    Smokers.

    Sorry, posted before i read your next post. BTW what is an embo? And yes I hate evangelists too. Promise I will try not to be one ( once I class myself as an ex-smoker).

    Smokers.

    I'm not an ex-smoker. I'm a smoker who's trying to be ex, but you can keep slagging me off for it if you like. I'm not doing it for you.
  23. Jeez, you are a rare beast. Never could understand why they are so unpopular in this country. Worked with people doing thinnings and scrub in the past. I finish the day feeling pretty good, they finished moaning about their sore backs (and I'd done 50% more clearance than them), but still they insist that a chainsaw is a better tool for the job. Machismo? As for boots, I mostly wear chainsaw boots, I find them comfy (or maybe I just think they look better in the pub after work. Machismo?
