  1. Good stuff lads! keep it coming
  2. Just a quick question! Does your tree company help out other tree companies that could in a different circumstances be competitors ? Your experiences good and bad please
  3. I was told buy an old boy that rebuilt engines to always run a file lightly around the top corner of the ring, if the cylinder had'nt been honed so it didnt travel up and srike the lip worn away by the previous ring at DTC.
  4. I've got the same truck with a ali back like yours but the sides arnt angled down to the tail gate. I've found that if I tip the body up when I start to chip it doesnt spray over the cab, and the bottom of the bed at the back nearly touches the ball hitch coupling and prevents the chipper from being removed without the body being lowered first
  5. Nah were cool mate , Drinking half a bottle of port last night probably clouded my judgement a tad to
  6. Cheers 18stonner! Good to know were all cool
  7. Cheers evergreen and Lorry!
  8. Im not as thick skinned as some of you guys and girls and find that trying to post word perfect so as not to be misunderstood is taking the edge of the fun for me, so Im going to give it a miss for a while
  9. Well what can I say 18stonner. I read that it reduced him to tears and made him feel helpless, (Without going any further than seeing the dead fish) I posted that I didnt want to join, not realising it was an online pertition. I have since realised this and have added my details. It was'nt my intention for it to come across as it did but if a mod wants to remove my post then I have'nt got a problem with that. I appologise if it came accross as if I didnt care but the opposite is true. I do what I can but dont wish to end up in tears feeling helpless which I fear would be the case if I emersed myself in all the negative spin that seems to be about in the media. I cant even watch Lassey or the littlest hobo without getting a lump in my throat, true
  10. If Its going to put me on a downer then I dont watch stuff like it anymore. Im sure theres a plan In place to depress the population. I dont want to join
  11. You cant really call it a Crane splitter combo It sound like a new wildlife meal at Kfc It needs to be something with a bit of Grrrrrrrr like, The Smack and Sack 3000 Xp Gti
  12. Well done! I enjoy little jobs like that . It always amazes me how 9 times out of 10 when a tree fails it does less damage than it would if a rope broke
  13. Doing it is the easy part tie it off back to the tree, clear all non load bearing limbs and brush and reverse the action it fell in is one of many ways. The hard part is covering yourself so you dont get a phone call saying that it was you and not the tree that dented, scratched of damaged in any way the caravans
  14. A-Team generation
  15. Im sure you'll make the correct choice, asking for others opinions shows that your not somebody that takes felling a tree with a pinch of salt, your obviously trying to find a compromise and for that I think you should be commended
  16. Lay under the van and pull the rubber bung out of the floor pan and it will drain. Remember to push it back in before you drive in the wet or it will fill up again
  17. So what is your suggestion then ?
  18. Av it out! Its leaning to the right hand side over what looks like a blind bend on a hill with a wall and footpath underneath . If you walk away you could loose the customer. If its just left and the right hand limb cracks out over the road it wont look good on you. Or If a reduction and the possiblity of finding rot pockets means that you wouldnt be happy with the finished result, just fell it and replant
  19. Try Lurcherman he wanted climbers in Portugal earlier this month
  20. :idea:put the swith to the on position, Pull the HT lead off, lick your baby finger, put it in the cap so it touches the metal ring and pull the engine over, you'll know then if its got a spark:011: sorry mate ignore that I've been at the Haribo and they make me hyper
  21. She's my baby . Never cost me more than £70 for an mot cheap tax, cheap to insure and best of all cheap on petrol:thumbup1:
  22. The condition of the vehicle is more important than the age. I do nearly all my pricing in a 1884 suzuki sj jeep that I payed £150 for 3 years ago. Its always clean and well kept and usually crops up in the conversation. When I go pricing I dress in the manner that I think the customer would expect, which in my opinion is smart casual greens and waking boots, I wouldnt price in trainers jeans and hooded top for example:lol:. The saying 'You never get a second chance at a first impression' is right. Coming back to the vehicles Im not sure if we have got posh ****** in sussex but some of the nicest trucks I've seen have been owned by travellers:confused1:.
  23. Nice! very slick operation there mate, you should be proud:thumbup:
