  1. So your not interested in a wench with a sore? sorry my spellings getting bad I meant saw as in chainsaw wench
  2. Kara-bin it! It will always play on your mind now you've thought about it and for £14 its easier to move on and treat yourself to a new shiney one. Im sure it wouldnt have hurt it unless in fell on concrete but its not worth having it in the back of you mind every time you lean back and load it.
  3. Thanks Pete! Im happy now PS any chance you could get me her phone number ?
  4. You said Wench! now I want a picture of a Wench if not Im going to spit my cyber dummy out
  5. Hi Rob! If you just put spray on the plastics then all that will happen is that who ever nicks it will just change them or brake it for spares. I was silly enough to ask a police man if I could do a similar thing, his advice was to just make sure that I was insured . I skipped the idea and put more thought into stopping them from getting nicked buy keeping them locked up, or out of sight of prying eyes. Are you sure your not doing this purely because you want your saw to match your boots
  6. Hi all! just wondered if anybodys copse cutting or hedge laying in the south of England ? I'd love to have a go for a day and learn a few tricks of the trade . Failing that are there any good books out that you know of that would give me an insight into the products produced from Hazel and sweet chestnut Many thanks Pat
  7. Good story that Lorry! I feel sorry for kids that dont feel that way about their parents.
  8. Hers one to teach the wife or daughter! If they ever get cornerd buy a person and they need to break free, put their hand or hands to their mouth, puff their cheeks out and pretend that they are going to throw up making a bee line for safety as they do it. Sounds funny but It works 100% of the time Guaranteed
  9. Bolt a vice on the chipper or truck so you dont have to scrabble around sharpening saws on the ground
  10. My old man was a great story teller and I would sit an chat every night about the things he got up to as a kid. My favourite tales were of a mate of his called Earnie Whickham. Earnie was a bloke that Im told always laughed about life and made the best of what he'd got. He was dropped in Arnham in the second world war and was one of the lucky ones to get back to his own lines, one of his greatest loves was fighting and he didnt seem to have a nerve in his body. I grew up wanting to join the Para but was stopped in my tracks by an eye condition but this has'nt stopped me admiring the man that I never met. Just wondered If any of you lot grew up with a Hero or Idol?
  11. "Catchers catch can " was taught to a mate of Dads ( by the army) when he was in the Para in the war, he could clear a room of people in about 10 seconds flat. The police got so fed up with him fighting that they arrested him and produced a pistol from a draw and said the next time he was arrested that it would be found on him and he would go to prison for it He taught my old man some of it and it stood him in good stead. Rest in peace Ernie Whckham
