  1. I'm guessing at this ... He probably felled them for a bit of cash after he finished his day job so would you be able to prove responsibility. Would of been so much easier to dismantle it.
  2. Looks like any salt in anything but moderation is bad for you where ever it comes from its basicly 2 elements binded together with tiny trace of other minerals. Naturaly ocurring salt has to be better than the man made stuff. Look what salt spread on the roads does to your car. We planted a laurel hedge alongside a paved path the fitting guide for slabs said don't use grit salt. Unfortunately the client used a huge amount this winter:sneaky2: the laurels are looking a bit burned to say the least.
  3. Would love to have a rip round in that. SAF
  4. No no no no I don't believe it you start offering money for trees like that and the land owner starts to think the forestry grown stuff is priceless. Just like idiots paying high £40 for soft or high 50 for low grade hard. It's starting to have an effect on us merchants with a fellow merchant reporting his supplier has stuck it up £10 a tonne. He buys 800 900 ton off him. The guys using RHI to bolster there buying power are also not helping
  5. What ever the story behind them trees they should never of been left like that Any body can fell a tree it's 3 cuts safely breaking them down once under compression or tension is a bit of an art. If you do it my advice would be always have a clear escape route.
  6. I'd be happy to have one in the forestry bordering us Would be quite rewarding seeing one in its own environment Reckon the old girls cat must have a bit of lynx init the way it was dragging a rabbit twice it's size over the roof
  7. The only heat source I could come up with was a waste oil burner as a few friends run garages and workshops so free fuel. Like everything time to get it up and running cost verses payback or worse failure. I think there's only one route tysons farme 2000
  8. Hilti fixing or tec screw and screw towards track then break tec end off with hammer If you go down tec route will be worth hiring a proper tec gun
  9. 15% they must be filling there quota rather quickly
  10. Interesting stuff I'll be trying some himalaya salt might have to have the odd bag of smiths crisps though
  11. Yep that's at the top of my list too did you ring that guy??
  12. We're both firewood merchants so have Thor magick 13t him electric me petrol so I can sit it next to the processor to brake the ugly bits down. Thor or Riko do smaller cheeper machines that are still capable of a good days work
  13. Leave well alone if your not use to cutting big hardwood that tree ain't goin to give you a second chance.
  14. In my work world very little October 31st 2013 if only!!!!!!
  15. To be honest I cant anwer that as the machines I've seen are three phase I no Riko do machines that are dual hydralic and electric.
  16. I've got a nice scar on my ankle from exactly that 10mm to the right and it would of been bad. Like using the long Stihl one if selecting cord from the end of a stack give you valuable time to move if stack collapses forward. Even better in the tele
  17. Is your splitting area next to a power supply is so seriously consider electric wish I'd purchased a diesel gene and gone down that root. A merchant friend has his whole yard running on electric and he loves it. People can talk and answer the phone.
  18. Did a job on the boundary of the m5 big utility's company and was told no need to even put it in the risk assessment Use a little more common sense than normal. If it was felling would be a little more concerned ours was not
  19. I'm afraid in the cases I'm talking about no. An in laws daughter is in full time work has a wealthy life style but is having hrt treatment and then the full transgender opp fully paid for by me and you with our hard earned tax. I don't mind paying NI so society has a safety net but to fund the above IMO is wrong. As for foreigners coming in having ops then leaving that's plain wrong I don't blame them but it's a loop hole that should be closed asap
  20. My answer would have Barnett stamped on it
  21. Guy I know is on the chubby side they told him he needs new knees but has to loose a set amount of weight before they will do it. Had to be proven before through the GP Now how you sort trans gender opps and breast enlargements NHS tourists been funded by us is a different question
  22. I really don't get that mentality it's bad enough to take something that's not yours but then to burn it out because it's not working boils my piss
  23. Would like to add a log grab but am toying of buying a 360 problem been the money for it is tied up in over a 100 cube of billets that remain unsold only thing we have left at the end of the season
  24. Why burn it out if they could not get it to run surly just leave it I get the fact they want to destroy forensics but would the police even bother if they found it abandoned. Strange
