  4. My shortlist would be in no particular order thor uni forest bindenberger [vasaline at the ready] posch and the new contender is rytec a little over priced considering there quite new to the vertical splitter market Ive seriously considered uni forest myself but when i change mine ill stick with thor as mines been faultless changed the oil in engine every 6 months and thats it still on the first set of guides and its had some stick
  5. I would not buy a machine with out the option of a table to much hassle
  6. What did you give for your uniforest Had our first processor off them good outfit to deal with Been toying with the idea of going pto but like sticking the petrol magic along side the joy and breaking down the stuff with unions on that. The joy will split it but its not pretty logs, struggles on the 12 way once had to leave the knife on the bonfire as could not get the jam up sorted

  13. That must be most nights then as every tree surgeon has a ploom of smoke coming from there yard. Even the council tree team are guilty of it.
  14. Funnily enough I know just the person:thumbup: How often does it have to be checked over though
  15. I'm afraid two vehicles is not doable it's got to be one that does all. We do bags that are 1.4 m3 so has to be a hydraulic lift.
  16. Do you think vosa would buy it
  17. That looks like an on site job to get them out the brown stuff. Here's the scenario wep fills tank with wrong fuel wep is then told to get and sort it wep lies in mud drains tank then cross threads bung. Wep gets all mighty boloking machine is then bodged and left as bodge is so good. Wep is reminded about screwup every 5 mins until he screws up again. New bung re tap thread and I reckon you would be good.
  18. I here there quite cheep off the bay:biggrin:

  20. It's about setting us apart from the beer boys lot of people get stung then don't want to risk a new supplier. Trailer mots regulation is only going to help my business.
  21. At least he's telling you as it is. Got to give him credit for that. My advice inky would be to wait till your your mobile and get a local climber with some good experience to come and help you finish off. Ps this ain't a typical forum there's a lot of guys on here very passionate about trees and doing it right
  22. How many rapids you has Jon? Get yourself a 20 rapid and buy the extra long barrel most accurate air gun I've come across that's non specialist.
  23. Opened the truck and a bumble bee came out as I'd left the window open if that's not a sign the seasons over don't know what is? We don't usaly sell much out of season it will be a steady trickle enough to pay the rent and insurance. Been an odd season busy one week quite the next but Im well in front for next season 450 bags done 110 m3 of billets (left from this season ) and 200 t in the yard. If I can get 3 loads a month I'll be happy. If it's the same quality as I'm getting now I'll be even happier.
