  1. i only use squared timber for kindling, so i would assume that it's kiln dried... my bags are clear plastic heat sealed and the only time i've seen moisture form on the inside of the bag is if the bags are left in the sun. i'v not liked the idea of round wood for kindling because of the amount of dross due to the bark, i'm afraid i'm damn fussy:blushing:
  2. Tried that and found it didn't work for me, also tried manuka honey, has like an 85% pollen content or something, i probably didn't give that one much of a chance though as i ran out of money for it... now take one loratadine tablet each day, starting around the beginning of of March, seems to ease it and costs pennies:thumbup:
  3. yep, i cut and bale around 10,000 conventional bales of hay each year too! although saying that, i've been led to believe that tree pollen can be more of an issue than grass, certainly rings true for me, i start to suffer long before many grasses are on flower.
  4. i'm afraid i'm not taking much notice, after all, sod all we can do about it from here, definitely an ignorance is bliss job:biggrin:
  5. i'm damn sure thats a lot better then i could manage on my first attempt! (hmmmm maybe not saying much there...) haha, i'd probably just end up with a heap of saw dust and no log left! shameful waste of a good bit of firewood though:sneaky2:
  6. must be an inbuilt foible for all of us...
  7. yep, the general with loads of mini drones swarming like wasps around it. nearly did it an hour ago on the 150th attempt:001_rolleyes: only to be destroyed at the final moment by 1 of the 4 remaining mini drones! ARRRGGGHH!! found its easy to restore strength by biding your time with the "stealth planes", the ones with unguided missiles, as they're easy to dodge...
  8. is anybody else stubbornly refusing to be beaten...?
  9. likely to get shot down in flames here, but it's my understanding that use of a chainsaw on your own private land, be it your farm or your garden is fine without any tickets. it becomes an insurance issue once you step off your own ground without any qualifications unless under approved training supervision. however, there is nothing illegal about unqualified chainsaw use anywhere. i look forward to being corrected on this one... back to the topic in hand...
  10. vandal! good call taking it down so close to the path...
  11. this is soooo true, it sometimes feels like i'm looking at something inappropriate when i'm on here EVERY day! And no i don't mean physically "feels" before i get any of the obligatory comments....
  12. don't know how they did that, but the skinny "strawberrry" blonde assistant doesn't look to me to be capable of moving a grown man's lower body without a struggle... just seems a lil bit suspect to me:sneaky2:
  13. :laugh1:hahaha lowering the tone, never...
  14. Rhystree that was not directed at you... your vid however is also spot on, with a far less grating voice...
  15. really like the vid, but was the voice over guy JML's reject?? sounds all too similar to those stupid JML product adverts all over the shops!
  16. hahaha, if you don't fancy it we could always bounce it off the electric wires that it's leaning towards...
  17. .....this reminds me very much of a well known joke..... how many firemen does it take to fell a small tree?
  18. lol, had my eye on it from the start simon, just been waiting in the wings, and i'll bet i'm not the only one:laugh1:
  19. you quote 40 bags an hour, what size bags? can see the stack in the background but job to see what size they are!
  20. :drool:damn shame i've spent all my money on fertilizer!
  21. famous grouse, so stupidly simple!
  22. sounds foolproof, but would there not be issues on hot sunny days or even from the engine? i would say that metal in the full blazing sun is hotter than body temperature. not that i've got any better suggestions...
  23. wasn't there when it happened but i'd gone along to investigate the small upper limb which i'd been told needed clearing, only to find the lower one on the ground as well!... oh well, more firewood!
  24. have you got nothing to do...? all too true though:001_tt2:
  25. so, your 8x6x1 works out as follows; 8ft/2.44m 6ft/1.83m 1ft/0.31m times them all together gives your trailer volume in cubic meters 2.44 x 1.83 x 0.31 = 1.38cbm simples:thumbup1:
