  1. I seen the fire brigade using it once, turns out they were trying to douse the flames
  2. Do you have permission from the landowner to collect the fallen trees? Might be worth looking at a 240v saw if it's just for use at home
  3. Will be similar to all the other cheap chinese chainsaws you can get online 58cc 20" Petrol Chainsaw + 2 x Chains + More | ParkerBrand WWW.PARKERBRAND.CO.UK A high-powered 58cc 20” Petrol Chainsaw that is low on price and high on performance, our Parker chainsaw was designed to tackle more challenging jobs and thus features a proven air...
  4. That doesn't always work, but changing the locks does
  5. The cooking looks bang on to me, just how I like it. I would be more concerned about the lack of square sausage, the baked bean dish that seems to contain only bean juice, and the overall portion size would leave me hungry, just 1 tattie scone is tight. I would need 2 platefuls! Also they forgot the toast!
  6. I've been doing some google research, these big cat species are very elusive and highly intelligent. I don't think it's beyond all possibilities that panthers/pumas living wild in the UK are actively avoiding being caught on camera. The most obvious way would be balaclavas so they're not recognised, or they could spray paint the lens. Or even dress up as another animal. Think about it, how many times do you see foxes/badgers/deer on trail cameras, but never big cats? They can easily buy these costumes on ebay. Yours sincerely, Terry Nutkins
  7. It's only the end of July, the hybrid willow has put on a huge amount of growth this year. The existing ones that were coppiced for the first time have shoots up to 10ft long. The newly planted whips have shoots about 5ft long atleast. In about 4-5months of growing time zero weeding or mulching has taken place!
  8. The dead standing elm round here is 2ft-4ft wide, if it's straight grained it splits ok, if it's knarly it's a bugger, burns well though
  9. Well the cherry tomato harvest has begun this week, and I gotta say Sungold are absolutely delicious
  10. This was last night's location for a couple cans of stella £20 aliexpress hammock, camouflage is working well here! Got woke up at 5am by a roe deer barking next to me, cheeky c*nt!
  11. Was working for someone today who has a wood burning cooker currently on order, Thornhill, I hadn't heard of the brand before, made in Kent, they look the part anyway WOOD BURNING STOVE COOKER - 3 OVEN, CARBON NEUTRAL MKII - Thornhill Range Cookers THORNHILLRANGECOOKERS.CO.UK British made, 3 oven carbon neutral wood fired range cooker.
  12. Drinking and mowing - a winning friday night combination
  13. £4.88!! Assuming it's 11%, so 33units in the box? minimum price on that would be £16.50, they want to put it up to 65p so £21.45!
  14. I hope he leaves a really bad review on tripadvisor
  15. I'm not a fan of wine, but go on then tell us how cheap it is to buy out there? In Scotland we're not allowed cheap drink (unless it's homemade)

    Jokes???

My neighbour was killed in a freak accident by an automatic gate. Lots of his friends have left flowers at the scene. They are a moving tribute.
  17. I don't think the council has ever promoted the nc500. It was dreamt up by a business group. I'm not sure it's a problem you can build your way out of. The council doesn't have enough money to maintain what they've got already. The roads are in a really bad state now due to the volume of traffic. UK government will be doing well out of it with the money made on fuel duty, maybe they should be paying for the repairs? A lot of the people doing the route will fill up with food and fuel at tescos inverness, zip round in a few days, then off home again. It would work better if you had half the volume of people, but staying for double the length of time
  18. UFO capital of the world is Bonnybridge. Probably in no way linked to buckfast consumption rates in the local area.
  19. Just another day on the nc500, camping on shore street in someone's garden 'Wild campers' set up on private garden in Wester Ross village of Ullapool WWW.ROSS-SHIREJOURNAL.CO.UK The incident prompted claims by some of over-promotion of the area and a lack of respect towards local residents.
  20. Type A chainsaw trousers are hot enough as it is, you will regret buying type C imo Husqvarna "Functional" helmet is a good tried and tested lid that will last many years
  21. If you heat by gas, you need a mains supply or a tank If you heat by oil, you need an oil tank If you heat by wood, you need a wood shed (if you heat by electric, you need deep pockets)
  22. Even a mile or 2 can make a huge difference. Round here you can get some absolute damp frost pocket midge ridden hollows, then just up the road; wind battered, sunny all day, cheeks bright red and haggard. Either way, don't piss about, build a decent log shed. A log shed is as integral to the wood burner as a chimney.
  23. Ukrainian troops learn bomb disposal skills in Scottish Highlands WWW.BBC.CO.UK Royal Navy experts have taught Ukrainian troops skills such as finding and neutralising explosives. It's funny how things come full circle..... Ukrainians fighting against Russia are being trained by the Royal Navy in Loch Ewe. And Loch Ewe was used in ww2 as part of the Arctic Convoys, to help provide supplies to Russia
