  1. Last week I had a 150 & a Forst on the same site & I think the forst was FAR better. The green mech could not take in a 4inch bit of black thorn were the Forst was pulling it in with ease.

I would rather have a forst any day of the week.

as for running the forst easy to grease up really easy to change blades. really good on the fuel!

get them both out on demo at the same time and give them a go!

  3. Thanks

its not on a stump its on a living poplar tree near to the ash that fell due to honey fungus. I know it grows on dead timber do you think this is on the poplar due to the butt/roots dying? There is also a black canker around chest height. No real sign of rot in the base.

  5. I pay £350 for a large barn/lockup I can fit the mog timber trailer chipper and all the other bits in it.

Large area for chip and timber a place to burn. Wash down point toilets and electric to the work shop.

  6. My Mog is a U1000, I used to have a 9inch chipper on the back but tbh it was not great would have been better on the front, I now only use our little 6inch on the back (forst).

In the last year I've spent about £3k on it but only £160 on service £450 on repairs to worn out parts and the rest was upgrades and body work. So I don't think this is to bad! the year before was about £250 that was a service and a brake calliper. for a 32 year old truck its doing very well!!

I fix some of the easy bits on it but if I can't the mechanics on the farm I have my yard fix it.

Would I buy a Mog now I am unsure I don't use it for what I bought it for as much now but I did have a lot of work where you would not get a transit or even a landy (with a chipper on it)

It has paid for its self 10 times over, I am now after a pickup hitch for it so I can tow a decent timber trailer behind it so it can be used in the woods more and also looking for crane to go on the back.

  7. Not had it that long not sure what it will lift as I have not got a loader on it yet. I've just used it for grass cutting and had the log splitter on the back. Easy to service starts 1st time every time even with the grass tyres it's real good in the mud as it's got 4 wheel drive and diff lock.
