I was involved in a similar fell a few years back after the owner had young children on two occasions eat berries one of them was not hers so that was more of a scare of being sued ...also with the tree being right by the back door of the house it meant berries been trod through the house by children all the time as well!, initially my response was tell them not to eat the berries and make them take there shoes off!! But kids will be kids. The tree officer obviously didn't want the hassle so agreed on a fell.
Any way the tree was lucky to have been over a 100 , it appears in late Victorian times chaining mutli stems together so they fused quickly to give the appearance of an older tree was common practice with yew as I was expecting mine to be over 300 .... I could be wrong but I imagine this tree to be a near exact situation... So to the original poster get on and fell the tree and get it milled up because if you don't and there's permission plenty of contractors will jump on it!
The situation is exactly the same!
We have spoken about fencing it off & reducing. If we reduced it then fenced off the area it would give them no space the tree is very close to the house & the back door to the house is inline with the tree. The owners will not have access to the rest of the gardens because it's open to the public they want a safe place for there to walk out of the house & play.
I have delayed the job as many times as possible to try and convince them but it's worked!

Yeah you can eat the berries... Now I'm not sure if this was said for effect, but on a different forum I was in the understanding that the tree was coming down to make way for a mosque!! Same tree, same OP, different reason? I want the truth buddy, if it's coming down for a mosque im gonna strap myself to it.
No it's not coming down for a mosque. The tree is in a private garden.
The lad who put it up on FB works for me & he said it as a joke.
I really do understand why people would be pissed off about it coming down because I am not very happy about it. I've done everything in my power to stop it.

pm sent thanks
I have not received one?

Yes it is a crying shame that it's coming down I've been trying to talk them out of it for weeks. We even started pruning it but they then decided it had to go. The reason for felling it is not really a great one but I will try & explain. It's on a estate that is open to the public & the garden you see it in is the owners private garden & they want it down because they are worried that there little kids will eat the Berries. I know this is not a good excuse but this is what they want done. I have spent a lot of time trying to change there minds but it's made any difference.

Very Smart Eddie and is colour co-ordinated with FORST.
Did not even think about until I hooked it up yesterday 😂

I've finally got another mog. Got some more work to do to it yet. I've got some wiring to do for the orange becon & led lights. Then I will start the welding around the rear corners of the cab & steps. Need to change the fuel tank as well because it leaks if you fill it up more that half full.
Done some work to the brakes yesterday & coveted & old draw bar to 50mm ball hitch but should be out on its first job tomorrow.

how much do the weigh ? I'm looking at a new pair of boots to replace my airstreams and naturally i was going to get some airstreams but if these are the same weight or lighter , i will give them a go ...... they look pretty swish.
I think they are very slightly lighter than the airstreams I can find out on Monday

I've had them for the last couple of weeks & they fitted like a glove from the start. Very comfortable. I have worn them in very wet long grass all day & my feet stayed warm & dry. I've only climbed in them once & they gave me good grip & allowed some flex but still giving me the support I needed!
Great pair of boots very impressed.

I've had one for a long time now but I've stopped using it after about 18 months I find it heavy, hot, & my ears could not cope with the poor protection. I've gone back to a petzl

I am doing my cpcs 10 ton & above at the moment. I had my theory test last Friday and it's a bit of a joke. It's not really testing your knowledge of the machine just if you can remember the correct answers. As for the practical all you have to do is dig a trench & a man hole. £580 for the test is a bit much imo. All in all its cost me (with training)£1800. The national plant card test is half the price & according to my trainer it should be excepted at all sites.😂😂😂

Just said that to eliminate all the buy it comments when I was deciding. Saved about 1000 notifications.
Lmao
If you need any advice on it or a hand give me a shout mate.

It does. Yeah not really looked into the hiab too much but bought it at a great price. It's definitely a u1000 though. Got the rear pto box to fit, road tyres and a 16ft manual extension on the boom. But my first mog so any info and advice would be fantastic.
Thought you where going to walk away from that one as it needed to much work done to it?
-
I did not get a pair to trail but I did get to try a pair on & they are really light. They have the comfort (from what I can tell) of the airstream but the build quality looks great & I think they will last longer.

Just had a quick look and it seems the price of drones has dropped a lot in the last year or two.
Anyone any recommendations as there seems loads of possibilities now, range, pic quality, built in camera, battery size, etc, etc.
Just want something to take a few bits of work & possibly play😎
Do you have a go pro? as this will make a difference on what you buy.
If you have a go pro have a look at a dji phantom 3 axis gimbal this is what I use.
Or
If you don't have a go pro
https://www.dji.com/product/phantom-2-vision-plus
they are both really easy to set up & to fly with some great results from the box!

Hello all - I need to get NPTC assessed operating an ATV (side by side) as soon as possible, ideally next week. I'm happy to travel pretty much anywhere any time. Does anyone know anyone who can sort this? Cheers, Dan (07970188050).
Try Easton college near Norwich

Yep stolen pictures was on eBay 6months ago & about a year ago. Different usernames

Yes I've had it happen the first axel bent & Forst replaced it for free because it had the wrong size wheels/tyres. The 2nd one bent due to a small pothole (we think it might have been that)

I think there has been a delay but I know they will be here very soon
