  1. Well after my visit today and a long chat with the manager at Toyota kings Lynn it's not just the filter they change its the whole unit. So maybe you need to ask for the unit to be changed (filter casing sender etc..

I am still very happy with the truck as I now know when I get in it in the morning it will start and not miss a beat. I do miss my disco and defenders and I know I can't tow as much and can't take the Hilux where I took the landrovers but I do a lot of miles and the Hilux is far better for the longer trips as an all round truck I find it meets my needs far better than the disco and the 90 did! It pulls well with a heavy load/trailer and its warm in the winter and cold in the summer and will sit at 70mph with out making me having a nose bleed good mpg etc...

  2. I love the Hilux it's a great truck for what I need it for but I've lost confidence in my dealer in King's Lynn as I've had problems with them already I may take it to another dealer next time. Even after the small problems I've had I don't think I would go back to older trucks.

  4. About a month ago my fuel filter light came on and stayed on. In the manual it said contact your dealer due to there being a fault in the fuel system. when I took it in, they look at it and said I would need a new fuel filter. But its not a standard filter. I would need a new modified filter otherwise it would happen again! I asked if this would be done under warranty she said no

Now my question is as there is a fault with the filter surely it must be covered as its a modified filter, or am I well off and should just pay up :confused1:

Its a 2013 toyota Hilux 3ltr and has covered 14k miles

    many thanks

    Ed

  5. I've got a timber dragon and its very good for the price I have not had it long but it's can pick up a 6ft long @ 18inch dia at full reach. I got it to go behind the quad and Hilux (I've got he rd going version) it's a bit much for the quad with a full load but would be ideal behind a small tractor! Talk to Frank @ Atkinson Vos

I think he is asking for a quote? But I may be wrong.

I would be happy to give you a quote for the work but I will not discuss prices for a job on a open forum :-)

  7. I've had defenders 2 discos and now have a Hilux and I would never swap it for a land rover! I agree that land rover is loosing its way which is a shame
