not the 2 stroke mixture the actual air / fuel mix . when an engine is tuned i would expect it to run faster under load ie because it has more power but how do you set the mixture for a tuned engine because you wouldnt have the same airflow as a standard engine so the normal setting that were in the manual wouldnt be relevant or would they:confused1:

to buy a huddig you will probably need to turn sell your whole families kidneys to pay for it. you are unlikely to get a demo company to hire it if you do check it well over as these machine have esually had a tough life take lots of pics and get a list of previous damage

an over run clutchis a pointless exercise for this application it is far cheaper to use a cross over valve as well as it being cheaper it will provide braking for the flywheel as well keep it simple helps make things more reliable

jl steel in throsk do grabs i have used them in the past for doing stuff for jcb size up to 70 tonne grabs

dont waste your time with a rubber duck they have no protection underneath stumps will kill it go for a 13 tonner make sure it has aux circuit that is double acting for running extras hyundai and daewoo are cheaper makes and will suffice for this type of work its usually damage that kills with forestry apps not build quality

can you post some pics off the input shaft into the chipper. what are you going to run it off ? ps remember if you are going to run it hydraulic you will need a crossover valve that will cope with the momentum off the flywheel it will need to be plumbeb in series between the valve block and the motor or it will break driveshafts etc

i have ran out off chain oil and i am going to use gear oil instead does it makeany difference

if you need a shot of a flow meter give me a shout im in the falkirk area have done quite a lotof oddball stuff like this mainly on excavators and crushers etc:thumbup:

for that size of machine i wouldnt bother rigging up a track press you should be able to hit it in. 14lb hammer and swing it like a golf club:thumbup:

take 2 track pads off either side of it try and get a bucket tooth up against the link then grind down the old pin and use it as a dolly if you were in the falkirk area i couldhave got you a shot of a track press i take it its a 13ton machine from the size of the pin remember and wear safety glasses as i had a piece of steel in my cheek for 2 years from doing this

the bearings dont look a very large diameter would it not be better to retrofit a bearing that can take a good amount of endthrust -
