  1. Twats like him do. Probably gets off on the thought of two of them tag teaming his missus.
  2. At the end of the day, my accountant always says- Anything is fine until you get investigated. And then you have to justify it. If I were your boss I’d by buying you a single cab next time. You don’t need a double cab to deliver chippers, so it’s easier to play it straight.
  3. From where I sit she’s simply the most conservative candidate by a country mile. Conservative voters are fed up with the Conservative Party occupying the middle ground, possibly slightly to the right if you’ve being generous.
  4. Only way for that to work would be to declare it a ‘pool car’. Kept overnight at the premises and any member of staff can take it for work. You can run as you are until 2029 I think. Simplest option next time round is to lease you a single cab. No benefit in kind tax on this as you can’t take the family out in it. Hopefully manufacturers will start offering better levels of trim in single cab models now.
  5. Alpine tractor (or probably even a standard compact tractor) much quicker than a robo flail.
  6. Much cheaper to fit a new kit. 12V DC Single Acting Hydraulic Power Pack | Flowfit WWW.FLOWFITONLINE.COM View Flowfit's 12V DC Single Acting Hydraulic Power Pack With 4.5L Tank ZZ003468, Max pressure 200 Bar...
  7. What about investment for business?
  8. No, it was to do with plant. I wouldn’t trust a word he says. He’s just a salesman.
  9. It’s very interesting to compare average house prices in gold over the years. prices in gold they’re actually fairly cheap currently. it’s a big con trick to keep people on the debt treadmill.
  10. I also had a few differences of opinion with him and would not recommend Trust to my worst enemy.
  11. If you've only got a hammer pedal that goes 'one way' (very likely on that vintage) then you need to make sure the couplings are the right way around. Try swapping them over. Otherwise you'll need to describe the problem further. A much better forum to ask on would be plantalk.co.uk but there are a fair few of us on both forums..
  12. Wow, as much as that? Not worth delivering it for £120 a cube.
  13. The financialisation of the housing market has destroyed any notion that we live in a meritocracy.
  14. Milwaukee get good reviews for their hedgecutters for power. Not used one but I have a lot of other M18 gear and it's all at the top of it's game. Plenty of knockoff batteries available too, which would probably be fine for a hedgecutter.
  15. There’s no way to get grease onto the plastic bushes. Spray lubricant is all you need as plastic bushes are pretty self lubricating anyway. Some are oil impregnated also. I remade all the wear pads studs for my multione in Oilon rather than the original nylon. Saved me an absolute fortune compared to the spares prices and it’s a much better job of it. Removed the grease nipple (as you don’t achieve much lubrication of the inner sliding surfaces by pumping grease in at one end!! And just spray wayoxy in there now.
  16. The Sherpa uses plastic bushes in there. They can tend to creak. A squirt of silicon spray or any light lubricant will sort it.
  17. I sold my high tip for 2k earlier this year. They are handy but do put the centre of gravity rather high up. A lot of them won’t lift high enough to load a transit over the sides either so watch out for that
  18. If Bob on the Sussex/Surrey border decides he's interested in a muck truck rather than a tracked dumper, I have one on the Sussex/Surrey border that I'd let go to a good price to a fellow member. Flatbed, skip extensions, turf tyres and dual wheels PM me Bob!
  19. I could be wrong but I think Dan is the MuckTruck guy. Anything that saves labour is a bonus. I'd look out for a lightly used second hand one especially if you're not VAT reg.
  20. A big plus is the lack of time spent snedding. Just check the whole branch in and turn your back on it.
  21. Rather than fineness, it's the grit sharpness and the bonding of the abrasive wheel that is most important. A fine abrasive wheel that clogs easily will burn a tooth very quickly. A coarser cut may leave a rougher finish but may also be less susceptible to clogging leading to a better overall result. The quicker you can remove stock, the less time heat has to build up. Ceramic grits are a step up from standard al-ox, with their self fracturing ability leaving a fresh sharp grain edge. CBN is even better, with even quicker stock removal plus they can be cleaned without reprofiling the wheel. I do a lot of fabricating and there's more to abrasives than most people think.
  22. Appreciate the ingenuity but looking at eveything you've done/are planning to do, my advice to anyone else would be to buy a decent one first. And a CBN wheel. Everything is tight out of the box on this, I added the CBN wheel and the coolant. Personally I would say only then will it match the cut of a file. WIthout being rude, your sharpened chain still looks blunt to me- nowhere near enough hook for my liking. Appreciate that the camera doesn't always show such details though.
  23. Local lad here had his terrier jump out the back window. Straight through the flail.
