  1. So I seem to have learnt!!! Not usually in a tractor that time of day so i'm sure it won't be a problem in the near future!!! Andy, I have no problem and encourage people like yourself who are genuinely ill and cannot work to have a system to support you. But am surprised that seeing as you can't seem to get out the system now your fit too work seems daft and is what annoys me. I appreciate there are people and circumstances that prevent them being in employment. But there are too many people who claim they can't work or are just too lazy to work, and to suggest sending someone round to wake them up and get them going is just plain old tosh!! Its too easy for some to do nothing in this country, life is not easy, never will be no matter how much money you have or what lifestyle you lead. The more you have the more you have to lose!! I'm sure Sir Alan Sugar or Richard Branson would soon agree that even their wealth doesn't bring an easy life!
  2. Just been listening to Mr Vine in my tractor spreading slurry, he was taking a debate about how it has been suggested that having people to go around and wake people up and get them going in the morning would help them get them off benefits and help them adjust to working life. Is this country that barking mad and soft, or am I just an egotistical sadist thinking that this is a load of tosh and perhaps a little tough love may help more?????
  3. good luck with no hot tea for 24hrs!!!!! Cold tea sound appetising?
  4. Age 15, dentist found my lower wisdom teeth were growing on their side into my lower teeth. So had to have a general anesthetic to cut them out the jaw, the surgeon doing it said 'do you want me to take the top two out while I'm at it?' ......... Yeah why not, all done in one go me thinks! He sorted the pain with some little red pills, but the swelling meant I could only drink soup through a straw for 10days......... I'm not very keen on soup now for some reason! I hate the dentist, with a passion, hate it. But I go every six months on the dot, no way do i ever want to have to have serious teeth problems!!!! Hope its not too sore for the weekend!!!
  5. That sounds remarkably like what my wife tells me when shes cooking and i start stirring a pot for an excuse to stick my finger in and taste!!! I've been reading this thread, reframed from commenting, but am pleased to see your common sense prevailing over it!!!!
  6. nice tree, bet you don't find many treehouses at the top of one of them little fighters!!!!!
  7. hilarious!
  8. ha ha ha ha ha ha:lol:
  9. I know how you feel, I don't think dishwashers are that bad for the environment when you compare it to everything else that goes on in the world!!! Whats a washboard and mangle do anyway????
  10. Can see your in the real world when it comes to tyre prices!!
  11. All in all, get a big mug of coffee and a jar of biscuits, get on the phone, get shoved from pillar to post, be no wiser at the end but you may have a piece of paper allowing you to do something at some point some where.........
  12.
  13. If it involves HLS ring natural england and go through it with them, doing anything without them knowing may result in you getting more than a smacked wirst from the. We have a quite a big HLS agreement, and if you speak to them and not just do it, they are fairly flexible and always very helpful....may be not the quickest but its the only way to do it.
  14. Personally, for what it sounds like you use, I'd ask Spud (Posted above) for what second hand offerings he has. You'll be gauranteed a good runner well serviced and will do you for a long while yet!! The you can treat your wife to a nice meal out with the savings and earn even more brownie points!
  15. You don't, you just stack it on top and it magically ends up in there!!!
  16. Your on about the auger torque at cheltenham machine, we've got the post auger to go on our telehandler. Great bit of kit, incredible what it'll drag out the hole, and will go through 6inch concrete!
  17. Shamefully that doesn't surprise me one bit!!!
  18. Yep same here with washing machine. Who do manufacturers think they kidding?
  19. Right This may seem an odd question for this forum, but i'm sure somebody will be able to give me an answer! Why is it the 'eco' program on our smeg dishwasher is about hour and an half longer than any other program on it??? It still washes at 70degree's like the other full wash programs. How does that make it eco?
  20. well if spud fancies porting my 880 then you can try that in your sunday races! Bigger sprocket, the spud works and she'd cut like a hot knife through melted butter!!!
  21. When i win the lottery, this will be on order!!!! I would love one! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj1qGs0OvBo]Fast Tracked Vehicle. www.howeandhowe.com - YouTube[/ame]
  22. Hypertherm Powermax 45..........but u'll need a good 32amp single phase supply and a good compressor to go behind it. Probably not cheap but very good quality. As for the multi-use ones, didn't know they exsisted even so can't comment, but seeing as its all electronics in a box these days they're probably fine.
  23. Jonanthan Just tried sending you a PM but its seems you very popular and its full! You can guess what i'm after i'm sure! Cheers Muchly Mike
  24. I hear what your saying peteb, and your are quite right in what you say. But at some point when the price setter in the dealership see's the price of something, he must think 'crikes were never gonna sell any of those at that price, can i source it cheaper else where?' Our main new holland dealer isn't the cheapest for parts or probably new machinery, but I know when i ring them up at 4pm on sunday afternoon and say please come and fix it they'll be there and more than likely they have the parts to fix it. But I also know they do shop around for better deals, doesn't always make them the most popular with manufacturers I suspect, but they do a very good job in a tough market. Not everybody can get it right all the time, but sometimes common sense needs to prevail when prices are set!!!
