  1. Anglo info, this is a current thread on the Normandy site AngloINFO Normandy: Discussions - Wanted someone who is Insured and capable of felling and cutting trees.Normandy, France Very typical of what we have to deal with here, "will you do it for half the wood?"
  2. Natural selection would have thinned out people like this, he would have been eaten by a bigger, smarter creature had he lived a few thousand years ago. What a doughnut!
  3. Because I'm Cornish! Also lets the "vapour" out anti glug style, like on a fuel tank:001_tt2:
  4. Big plastic milk bottle with a handle and a big opening, like you get in the UK, can have it sent up, slip the end of your johnson in and pee away. If all else fails and your going to be seen anyway, just make it memorable, Helicopter for example, at least you will go down in the Arbtalk hall of fame/shame
  5. And I have been thinking it was Carantan! shame on me:blushing:
  6. What a clever idea! Does it need and modification to the housing, or is it a simple swap?
  7. Any photos of the 390xp mod? it sounds like a good one.
  8. Do you have a few photos of this mod? It sounds like a good one, but I cant picture how its done:confused1:
  9. Just tried her again, forwards and backwards, 4h and 4l no 4wd at all, low range engaged as the gearing lowered, but still no lights come on. I will try to google the fuse box layout and see which controls the free wheeling hubs. Unless any of you guys know which one it is?
  10. Thanks for all the replies, Hedgesparrow- i went straight for 4 low as I had a big chipper on the back. I will go and have a quick play and see if I can get it to light up
  11. I see, it didn't light up when i tried it. I wish i was mechanically minded!
  12. It has a button in the cab for remote free wheel, pushed it a few times but it did nothing.
  13. Can anyone help I just purchased a 06 ranger 4x4 and went to drive it onto a grassy area and got it stuck. I had shifted the lever to 4L but drive only went to the the rear wheels. While it was spinning someone had a look underneath and confirmed the front prop shaft was turning. I had no lights come on to tell me 4x4 had engaged or anything else. Any ideas?
  14. I think there are a few of us here in France, not sure if there are enough to qualify for our own sub forum? Good idea chief
  15. The word "Hero" is used a lot nowadays, but here I feel it has been earned. When I grow up I want to be just like you:thumbup1:
  16. Is that the electric start model 18hp?
  17. So the Bandit is £4k + vat, compared to how much for a new CS100?
  18. That one, and one mounted on a trailer, this link should do it.......... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuBzbsTSJqU]Bandit 490 xp - YouTube[/ame]
  19. I am in the same boat here, looking to get the CS100 this year, and now this one to consider. Looking at the videos I can find I would note that the infeed shoot for the 490xp looks a fair bit shallower than the GM, and so the operator was having to push a bit more, rather than let gravity do the work. Also the out feed looks lower and a bit messy, spraying chip like only bandits do! or at least the ones I have used. Would be good to have an idea on prices for the 2 to compare
  20. Cheers Stu, may get it wrapped to save the paint a bit, will see what it costs. Could be interested in some work, if its not urgent. I have a fair bit booked in over the next few months. I don't normally venture down your way but PM me some locations and spec and I will get back to you.
  21. Insured with my french insurer, cover note and green card. Uk/Eu licence will reg it here within the next couple of months- simples. You could get short term, drive away insurance if you were looking to do similar, I think?
  22. My new Arb truck! Just drove it back from the uk, lovely weather!
  23. So very sorry to hear your sad news, you have so many friends here wishing your wife a speedy recovery. I have been through similar with my Mum, and you must look after yourself during her time in hospital as she will need you fit and well once she is on the road to recovery. Don't forget to eat. Be strong, and thinking of you both. Adam
  24. We Cornishmen must like the same things! where are you? or whe are'E?
