  1. After the chainsawing was done i had to get back into shorts, think this one has gone better than my first attempt
  2. I need a little advice on a Horse Chestnut that I've been asked to prune back as hard as possible, i know pruning standards ect are 20% leaf volume??? but could i get away with taking it back a lot more? Would it live if i pollarded it or should i just do some extreme drop crotching?

  4. I see i see, hmm, well I'm going to have a word with my accountant but by the sounds of it, it doesn't seem worth while. Is there any way of splitting the ownership of trucks ect, as at the moment some things are in my name and some in his name.
  5. What are the pros and cons. At the moment my friend and I are sole traders but we work together and buy are kit together. The main thing we are seeing is the joint ownership of the vechicals and the ease of payment to customers. Does being a limited company make you car insurance cheaper at all?   8. Well I've had one quote for £1400 so far, waiting for 2 others to come back to me, but ideally i don't want to be spending over £2000 but then i also don't want something rubbish, so just looking at all my options. This is the sort of thing I'm looking at

My business partner and i have just brought a 110 which we will be converting to a tipper, we have are own 90's and we are trying to sort out a multi car insurance for are work trucks,its only us driving them but is there a traders insurance or something any one can recommend that will be cheap?
  11. Cheers. op was 15-20 mins i think had glass in my elbow as well though which had to be removed. I'm only 5 days in so far but dr reckons 3-4 weeks before using a chainsaw and 4-5 before climbing but think ill add a week onto both those figures to be safe. My other hand isn't that bad at all, few nights a month,so hopefully this time off letting it rest and wearing a wrist split will help a lot. fingers crossed yours gets sorted soon,
  12. New it would be a bad idea to have time off, just gone and brought this today, respray and tipper to come
  13. 59 plate defender 90, 14ft ifor. 5 year old hayter 56 2nd hand stihl backpack blower 2nd hand 020 2nd hand strimmer new still 341 new climbing kit since then got new kit and hopefully 110-130 defender tipper

  16. Last tree taken down before my tunnel carpel op today,had a rotten Beech to take down in all that lovely weather we had on monday. visor clogged up with sawdust.
  17. Had my tunnel carpel done this morning and the glass removed from my elbow, what is there to get up to? got to have my other hand done in a few months

  21. Coming round to buy are first chipper and looking at trying to find out some prices for 750 CONTRACTOR 6" A530Di 6" Either thinking of buying it out right or if there any finance options what options have you gone for?
  22. On speaking to them today they want it cut down to just a trunk. shame but hey
  23. Think ill aim for crown lift & drop crotch pruning. Owner did mention about having the whole tree down but think it would be a shame to get rid of it.
