  2. I've just snapped the crankshaft on my 56 where its outside acting as the drive shaft to the pulley, rather than the roll pins braking it just snapped the shaft. Question is does a Hayter 48 shaft fit it? Just before i start taking it apart and wasting some time. Thanks
  3. Who knows, maybe it didnt like the idea of working all day sunday and decided that monday would be to teach me a lesson. Not sure what processed me to use Wd40
  4. Used the saw on sunday, stopped it for some sharpening tryed to restart it and nothing, wouldnt start monday either. Tuesday sprayed some wd40 into the carb and after a few pulls, fired up abit smoky, worked fine for the rest of the day. What could have been the sympton and why would wd40 sort it out?
  5. 2 ms200t's and 1 660, Havent managed to go for the past 2, was nice to get up there
  6. Ok cheers guys ill bear all this in mind and ill give a crane company a call and see what they say. Ill try get a few pictures of the old girl tomorrow Thanks again
  7. Cannot really get a onto the drive due to the entrance being rather tight and there are lime trees planted on the other side of the drive. So i dont think there would be the space for a crane, correct me if im wrong. My reasoning behind a mewp was i was told it would be quicker by some retired tree surgeon. I am open to surgestions on all of this as it will be the biggest tree ive done yet and advice is welcome
  8. What sort of price would you quote for taking down and removing. There is trees on 3 of the 4 sides although there around 70ft. private drive is on the 4th side. I was thinking of hiring a 35m cherry picker. I have heard from the my customer that lives next door that there has been a quote of £3600 already. Havent got a picture at the moment but ill get one tomorrow.
  9. Haha, ever so slightly, made me think was it really worth it.... Conclusion No lol. At least its going to give some time to reflect on all aspects of work. but dont think i need 6 weeks for that
  10. My usual party trick of doing back flips ects on the dance floor didnt work out as planned last friday, just broken the main ball joint bone in my ankle, meaning 6 weeks in cast and 3-6 months of nothing to hardcore on the ankle after.
  11. Arb, Just for the odd bits n pieces i do, stuff in the wood is delt with tractors ect. is this the 18/100 your talking about
  12. Yes i have had a look at that, got the old watch button on it, but more for the sake of seeing what it goes for. Why is this?
  13. West Sussex. Just had a look online and says the greenmech does 4-6cubic meters per hour aposed to the 1.5cm ph of the timberwolf
  14. Am thinking of getting my first chipper and am considering the 18/100. Just after any ones exsperence with it. I dont think im too bothered about chipping over 4" as i sell logs and anything of that sort of size ill be keeping for logs. Oversly the hydraulic chipper versions are better? but starting out is it worth me spending the extra money?
