  1. My top handle has developed a problem that when you press the throttle it will stall unless you tap the throttle to bring the revs up. Also it will stall on idle, this i solved by re tuning it but after about 5 mins use it goes back to how it was before again. Any ideas what is wrong with it? Thanks
  2. Just about to change the oil or my feed rollers on my chipper. Is it ok to use 46?. Chipper is a kwikchip. Don't know if that makes a differene
  3. Nope i haven't contacted the dealer yet. Who is the current dealer at the moment for kwikchip as i wouldn't mind getting a manual while I'm at it as well. Ive just ordered a new filter and oil, belt tension was a little slack so I've tightened that up. So i guess its just see if a service sorts it out. If not does any body know any good places to get it repaired or is it cheaper to fit another unit.
  4. Kwikchip 160. Thanks for all the replys. Guess i better start looking. Chipper has done 380hours.
  5. Chipper feed rollers stop and go on and off becoming a pain and not allowing you to feed anything in. sometimes just the bottom roller spins, this only happens after 15 mins of continuous chipping, then if you turn it off for 5-10 mins and start again its fine for a while then happens again. The Oil seems very very thin? could it be time for a change?
  6. Just want to check my KwikChip is running the correct rpm. It has a 3-cylinder perkins diesel and is doing 1800rpm. Does that sound ok?
  7. All sorted some one had installed an inline fuse that had blown. This has saved some money. Now i have 2 questions. 1 is the revs are at 1800rpm is this correct? 2nd how do you go about adjusting the no stress? thanks for every ones help
  8. does this look damaged at all? like the end has been worn off. There was an 8mm gap so i have reduced it done to 2-3mm and will try it out tomorrow
  9. What would be the correct distance for it to be away from the magnet. Is there any way of checking what isn't working on the box in the picture?
  10. Ok thanks, ill give that a go and hopefully that is the problem.
  11. Well I'm getting a constant voltage at the relay next to where it joins to the hydraulic motors, so after it has been sent through the computer thing. Have you got a link for the sensors?
  12. KwikChip. So how do i go about testing if the sensor works?
  13. voltage meter, whys that? have i done it wrong
  14. Need help Right i have checked for a voltage change before it goes into the relay for the no-stress and there is no change when the revs drop. Is there a way of checking the magnetic flywheel sensor? Past that where next is there to check why the no-stress isn't coming in?
  15. Wound this be the relay? Where sells the magnetic sensor that goes on the fly wheel. Sorry for all the questions just struggling with searching on google
  16. Going to change the relay on my QwikChip which the no stress hasn't been working. Havent changed the relay yet but when i put it in my car to test it the horn came straight on so am hoping its the relay at fault? Were sells the magnetic sensor that does the fly wheel for the no stress. Also is there any where to order a new no-stress control box at the last resort.
  17. Has any one got a manual?
  18. O right, pretty helpful. Are one isn't kicking in at all. Is the stress in that box i took a picture of or could it be more of the repays that has gone?
  19. Have just brought the above chipper and the anti stress doesn't seem to be kicking in. trying to locate where it could be, or is it adjusted on this? if so how is it done?
  20. What do people think of this KwikChip for are first chipper? Any pros and cons of this model? KWIK CHIP WOOD CHIPPER DIESEL WOODCHIPPER | eBay

Usually summer is 105 hours a week. Winter some times go off skiing for a few month but otherwise 5-6 days a week 7/7;30 till when ever it gets dark.
  22. They asked me to quote also for the take down, but said as they had reduced it in the past they are going to go down that route again. I didn't mention about doing a crown lift but they just wanted the whole tree reduced. Looks like i might be back for future work when it goes epi.
  23. Drop crotched it, but still i only give it a few years, apparently had been done 4 years ago to a lower level than what I've done. quick grower ild say
