  2. If i am right in thinking this is cauliflower fungus (Sparassis crisp) what effect is it having, it is the 3rd year its been on the tree but each year in a different place. There hasn't been any dieback in the canopy but i have noticed that the bark is cracking off.

  4. Have you got the details of the supplier? It's has a EHB electronics HMC 960 on it. Thanks
  5. About to give Lamberhurst a call tomorrow to book my chipper in to get its stress box seen to. Have finally isolated the problem down the the box. There is no power going to the stress fuse meaning no feed rollers now. Ive bypassed this for the time being so i can finish off the week. What sort of prices am i looking at for a new control box. Chipper is a Kwikchip, and i don't need anything fancy to go on it, just a simple control unit would suit. Ive tried googling control boxes but can't seen to find any one that sells them.
  6. It's for the fly wheel on the chipper. So it just takes the reading when the bolt goes by the sensor every revolution.
  7. Im after the above product but can't seem to find any where other than ebay Balluff BES M12ML PSC40F BV00 002 Proximity Switch | eBay Question is what bits of info do i need off the sensor? As far as i can tell its M12 thread size 10-30v DC 200ma which I'm guessing is the (Load Current Max) sn=4mm im guessing is the distance it reads from? Would the item in the link below be ok? BESM12MI-NSC40B-BV03 - BALLUFF - PROXIMITY SWITCH, M12, NPN | Farnell United Kingdom Or has any one else got any suggestions.
  8. Went back and visited a hedge we did last year after taking a good 6 foot out of it. Just a re trim the sides and neated the top back up. Both ended up coming down after finishing the top looking like john wane after straddling the hedge.
  9. Cheers, did look at that in the book and from the pics didn't quite match up but after googling in now i think that will be the one.
  10. Proble very simple but what tree is this, Have tried to match it up with the book i have on trees but with not much success. It goes from green to a deep purple red.
  11. There was Azaleas below it and they also didn't want it going on the lawn. She is a good girl. Saw starts and she sits out the way. Come down and she runs over.

  14. Stumpgrinder thats the idea i was going to use, bed sheets and dust sheeting in general, then wrap bits up and move them through . As for charging i was just going to charge my normal day rate for my self and 2 others plus fuel to get up there and any charges. Does any one know what any 3 men teams are charging for the day?
  15. Ive got a job coming up in battersea taking a tree down for one of my clients that lives in sussex. They are getting me parking permits but Im not sure if i need to pay that emissions tax thing or congestion charge? Not sure if i should look forward to this job or not, it involves taking a small 14" Oak down but its at the rear of the property and the tree needs to go through the house. What ideas have people come up with to move brush and logs through a house.

  19. Picked up the new 110 this morning, quickly bleed the clutch and went to pick the chipper up from the yard. 30 mins after purchasing it we were on are 1st job for it. Didn't get a picture of the trees but they was a small 20ft silver birch and a small false acacia. Everything had to be taken through the house. Nice easy 1st day for it. Now looking into ally high sides to replace the ply.

  25. I asked a question about my feed rollers the other month and since then I've changed of hydraulic filter and oil. Also have checked belt tension. Ive got a Kwik chip 160. The problem is after 7-10 mins flat out chipping the rollers will stop then start then stop, doesn't matter if there is nothing going in at all either. The other thing that some times happens is while they are stopped with say a branch in it you can't reverse or do anything. Occasionally while the top roller is stopped the bottom one will creep. Think its now down to a new pump if no one has any surjestions? Does any one know a good place to get a new pump from?
