  1. I asked a question about my feed rollers the other month and since then I've changed of hydraulic filter and oil. Also have checked belt tension. Ive got a Kwik chip 160. The problem is after 7-10 mins flat out chipping the rollers will stop then start then stop, doesn't matter if there is nothing going in at all either. The other thing that some times happens is while they are stopped with say a branch in it you can't reverse or do anything. Occasionally while the top roller is stopped the bottom one will creep. Think its now down to a new pump if no one has any surjestions? Does any one know a good place to get a new pump from?

  4. Thursday night this week am off to Normandy till sunday eve. Client that we work for in the UK has asked us to go over to one of his other properties for the weekend. Not completely sure what he wants doing other than some crown lifting of beech and lime trees round his house. All travel inc, and food provided by the wife if he's not taking us out like last time. Last little thing before heading home is he wants us to drive back a few cars for him. Shouldn't be to bad a weekend.

  11. Time to sell the old 110 that we were going to convert. 1999 110 high cap 110000miles. wax oiled chassis, heavy duty suspension. 300tdi 6 months tax and mot £4000 if any one is interested. Ifor top has already been sold
  12. Have just brought another landrover 110 for work. Galv chassis, been made a 300tdi which under inspection they have done a really nice job. Has be taxed as agricultural so hoping to keep it that way as we do a lot of farm limbing up round fields ect. But any ideas on that would be helpful.
  13. I like the fungi app, only thing that catches my eye is when i go to use to it checks for updates. This can be annoying when i just want to id the fungi.
  14. any one have anything similar Tool Vault Storage Site Chest Safe Store Chest Box Security | eBay
  15. Ive ordered some of these to place by the door :big grin: Any suggestions on ways or securing chainsaws? I've got a chain through the handles at the mo but is there any other ideas?
  16. Have got 2 very territorial dogs in there every night. Everything is chained. And saws ect out or site. 2 landrovers are parked in front and I sleep with my window open which is above the garage. It's just during the day I'm worried about. When every one is out and some tools are left at home. I've moved the big saws out. But everything else has a chain joining then all together then joined to the garage. And agree it is more than likely in a few months time. Think the shot gun will be left loaded. .

Think I'm about to have my kit nicked, some one knocked on my garage door this evening while i was sharpening the chains, fort it was mate who i work and live with but there was one 12 or so old kid on a bike and proble a 17 year old, he asks if i have any scrap metal, I said no and he went on his way. Did his dad send him on a reckon??? I hope not, just moved a load of tools now.
  19. Cheers was a great day, awesome views as it was up on a hill.
  20. We were working for some one else today doing a twin stem beech. Had 3 telephone lines and newly planted Aucuba's below. The tree was on a bank so we put scaffolding around over the plants and made a level area for a landing timber.
  21. Right some one I work for is getting me to do a visual tree inspection on a redwood. 1st branches are about 80ft up. They want me to spike and flip line up and just after some advice on yousing a flip line on a trunk that's around 7ft+ in diameter. Im told also the tree is squedualed to come down with a crane and that will also be my 1st crane job so any advice on that would be handy.
  22. Just took back the over hanging branches then took a a little height out. There was meant to be 2 of us climbing but i had to call it a day by 8.30 that evening, my arms carried on spasming and i had cramp every were. Wish some one got a before picture.
  23. Got brought in as a 2nd climber for the day, but ended up climbing on my own. There was 4 large old oaks which the customer was concerned about them coming over the top of there house by 15 or so feet. Spent the day rigging the whole line of trees in the pic down.
  24. Before & After. Customer wanted the tree to be removed but managed to settle with a very hard reduction. Hoping we have given it a few more years.
  25. Got it at the Apf woodshow 2 years ago. Ill chuck my other carb and and look see, thanks
