  6. Good job not long ago I had to dismantle a very tall Douglas fir and snatching the top out on itself was the scariest thing I have done in my life, Respect bro! Big tree
  7. I don't use hand ascenders just a foot pantin will do fine to start with.
  8. Yea I climb on a sj have done for a couple of years also dabble with srt on the right tree, yea sling and pinto is great just a pain having to go retrieve it.
  9. The scenery went well with the tune, great video!
  10. I have my pinto on my cs by using a sling I'm going to by one of them elderid rings that come apart to attach it to my cs. And yes I do need a spacer!
  11. Ah I I see iv never seen one of them pulleys before, cheers for sharing I'm going todo the same to my cambium saver, I have a personal problems with pulleys they don't have a Becket because if the pulley wheel fails there is no base to the pulley to stop your rope coming free.
  12. Johny I take it that pulley comes apart? Did you make the pulley?

  18. One tip when your spiking up I throw my main line over my shoulder this keeps it away from my feet so I don't gaff my rope.
  19. Cool, that tree looks like a nice climb.
  20. Powerful saw but with my pony arms it kicks back on the pull start and shags my fingers lol.
  21. I no what your saying about re-directs but these trees I have been doing don't have many places you can redirect the side laterals twist and turn in a upright position I find them near on impossible to climb srt.
  22. Wow that's surprising I had pi and my foot pantin smashed it to pieces in no time, maybe my technique is bad, velocity seems alot tougher.
  23. I like it for reducing oaks etc i.e redirecting but a lot of my work is climbing tall leggy ashes it's Great for access but when it comes to being at a 45 degree angle trying to shimmy up a tall leader it's hard when I'm used to my sj feeding slack in with one hand which tightens my system nicely, where as with the rw I need 2 arms one to pull the line to take stretch out then the other to tend the hitch, when your 70ft up on a hairy limb I want it to be easy not more awkward, it's great for confined trees but for leggy trees it just done work for me.i hope that makes sense, I'm sure all the sj lj users know where I'm Coming.
