  3. Hello Owen,

appreciate you taking time to comment on the Pholiota directory post.

If you feel your shots would add some context to the gallery, then I'd be more than happy to add them.

If you find time you could post them up on the Fungi directory thread, or e-mail me on the address in my signature.

    Thanks

    David

  4. Hi Matt,

  6. Hello bareroots.

I am not an expert on edibility of Fungi species

That is a completely different discipline, as you're probably aware.

I'm happy to guide you to the following respected resource,

that suggests that you can eat the Safron Bolete.

Rogers Mushrooms - Leccinum crocipodium Mushroom

    regards

    David

  7. Hi Justin, do you sharpen Chipper blades?

  8. Hello AS, only just seen this.

Whats your real name, where are you working?

Ps is as you probably already know, predominantly a parasite, but can be saprophytic also. So it depends on structural condition of your target.

Have read & seen, that it's a white rot, and more often than not is in attendance with a n other fungal sp.

I've no direct experience with it on Poplus so couldn't realy comment on it's strategies around that species.

    regards

    David

  9. Good numbers,

  12. Guild is alive and well and growing momentum in the wings.

The time to emerge is not quite there yet as other similar bodies are in the limelight.

Yorkshireman (Iain) is really the guy you need to talk to on the specifics as he's been spending by far the most time on it during developement.

I'm more of an interested facilitator.

Give Iain a shout, either by Pm or on thread.

You've been quite of late, new arrival keeping you busy?

    David

  13. Hello Tristan,

I was very fortunate to be at the Linean society a couple of weeks ago, where Neville Fay was hosting one of his seminars, this one was on fungi & Soil.

Alan Rayner was one of a great list of Speakers.

Not aware of anything specific coming up, but I would advise keeping tabs on BMC

    British Mycological Society

    amongst others.

Try also to get on some Ancient Tree Forum walks, networking with the experts like Londsdale, Green & Fay is what I've found to be the key to getting a better visual understanding.

I'll keep you in mind if I hear of anything of interest, and give you a shout.

    Where are you based?

    Regards

    David

  14. Possibly Sean,

but I've only got Fungi catalogued at this time, I'll have to trawl through 4 or 5 memory sticks, if I find anything I'll get back to you.

What's the reason, comparison or study?

    Regards

    David

  15. Hi Matt,

He's been onboard a few weeks now, I've been off a couple of them with the knee Op.

He seems very happy with the oportunity.

I got him a flat at work for three months, to help with the relocation.

Speaks highly of yourself and Stu.

Looks well suited to the Spec .

  16. Cheers Stevie.

It's a fraction of the photos I've gathered over the last few years, putting them here on the forum is mainly for sharing, but also a way for me to revisit them and keep them fresh in my mind.

Try and check out Marios (mdvaden) web page, he's got some real crackers.

    All the best

    David

  17. I'm of the persuasion we are Lee, yet the message is that huge ammounts of research is still needed.

The national Meripilus network website is going to be the web portal for all those interested to get involved.

  20. Shrewd move my man.

Definately keen to come up to your site in the new year, maybe be with a couple of other like minded tree freaks.

Would you be up for showing us around?

  21. Yeah, will definately catch up with you a couple of times next week Lee.

    Probably Monday and Friday.

    Look forward to it.

  22. Hello Lawrence, welcome on board.
