  4. Wow well anyway thanks Nick Peace and Good Will to all (and im very happy with my load of whatever or how heavy it is !)
  5. Nothing personal its just that sometimes you cant say anything on Arbtalk without some smartarse having to reply - all it was meant to be was a genuine thanks thats all- no debate re weight , seasoning, lenght, moisture content, how much load is lost through sawdust etc etc
  6. Sometimes this site amazes me sometimes
  7. Just like to say big thanks to Nick for delivery of 26 tons seasoned cord this afternoon

  9. Hi can anyone help us out weve got a job in the middle of Sutton Coldfield does anyone know where we can rid of the chip
  10. We charge £10 a cubic metre for stacking , if you do your maths you really cant afford to do it for free
  11. Maintenance wise really easy to work on, Kilworth who we bought it off our second to none for servicing and help. As for artic steer its not a weak point in small plantations with the forwarder its a god send- the only thing they dont recomend with artic steer is a loader. It comes with reverse drive as well
  12. Weve got one its fantastic, ours is the artic steer version
  13. Haha that made my day - going to find the cullunder and some bungies:thumbup:

  15. Bit off topic- we had a crew working on a National Grid site about 2 months ago where a test drilling operation was being undertaken for a new fence - the 132 kv cable was supposed to be at 130cm they drilled to 120cm BANG - to cut long story short the site is still closed down with a melted drilling rig on top and our tracked chipper has only just been allowed to come off site owing to HSE investigation!
  16. Handbook doesnt mention it , its a professional machine so its going to be used hard
  17. We bought a stihl 360 brushcutter back in April and the gearbox went toda, phoned to see if its in warranty "yes as long as youve greased it " Problem being on this one and on a 450 we bought there is no way of greasing the gearbox. All the old ones have the bolt you undo and the grease cartridge screws into it - happy days! The new ones have nothing on it Has anyone else had similar issues
  18. We did some work in National Gid gas site and had to wear FR clothing - fine for top half but they insisted we wear FR long johns underneath our chainsaw trousers - nice . I said jokingly that if it blew up theyd be nothing left anyway to which they replied at least this way they would have a body to count!
  19. They are now mandatory on all Network Rail sites - in an already under priced market it makes me wonder who will end up footing the bill
  20. Hi Nick im after seasoned hardwood as well DE12 7RN - you hasd the poplar off me ealier this year
  21. Proper top bloke - gutted though thought id series linked it - bugger
  22. Thats such a good idea we could do with someone like that
  23. Always feels better after a good clear up
  24. Ok if you do that everyday what % profit of your business is being lost. Yes our blokes all work really hard and on a friday we do go for a beer but im paying for an 8 hour day and in an hour they can do 3-4 cube sorry but times are hard for all!
