Asking any employee to pay for a cock up it is wrong, That's why you make a profit and they make wages. If they have to pay for things wrong they should double there wages. Goes the same for fences etc, I'd just temporary remove privileges like weekend van use etc

Not sure about most trailers nearly a tonne, my ifor tipper which is a right heavy pig is a tonne empty but most plant are quite light -
Nearly left my dog after getting distracted by someone's digger. Fortunately I stopped to open a gate about a mile up the track and couldt find the key and the dog caught up.

I would recommend it, We are in no way a big outfit or anything special. Today was a great case of how handy it was We had a big ash take down, the client wanted the wood but changed his mind about the stem which is fair enough as no axe was going to split it. Normally that would be a big job as it would be another morning of ringing up and loading into our ifor tipper or transit and Its difficult to charge a decent wack for it plus I'm. It greedy. As the lorry was almost empty I just craned it in in 3 pieces. Client happy as he got a freebie and I still got home in time take the dog out all it cost me was a slop of diesel and 10 minuets of my time.
